No Time to Heal
Ellis, Nick, Rochelle, and Coach weren't anything but plain out exhausted.
But that didn't slow them down, if anything it sped them up.
"Come on, there's gotta be one of them safe rooms 'round here somewhere" Sighed Ellis. Then before anyone could breathe they heard the all too familiar sobbing. "Ohhhh man…That there sounds like a Witch, everybody lights out." whispered Coach. They trudged as quietly as they could through the knee-high swamp water, then heard the depressing sobbing again, only this time, much closer. Everyone became very, very, cautious as the sobbing grew louder, and louder, until it just stopped. Then they heard it, the first warning growl. Everyone began frantically looking for the source of the vicious growling, when right at that second, Ellis tripped over one of the maggot-filled zombies they had killed earlier. When Ellis fell, he of course made a splash. The first growl just turned into more as the Witch became angrier than ever. As Ellis stood up the other three tried to pin
-point the source of the intimidating growls. Just then, as if right on cue, the ferocious Witch rose out of the murky swamp water, only to be standing
a few inches behind the unsuspecting Twenty-three year old. Nick steadily took his aim behind the young southerner, who was still unaware of the monstrosity standing only inches behind him, while Coach and Rochelle were trying to find an aim where they wouldn't end up shooting Ellis. Just then, a shot rang out. A bullet flew through the furious Witches head, killing her instantly. Ellis then turned to realize that he had been staring death in the face, and was lucky. Ellis was feeling lightheaded but before he fell down he heard the unmistakable human words "Merry Christmas." Then Ellis fell and let the blanket of darkness pull him down.
