Heart In A Headlock
Prologue
Sam Winchester stood on the walk way of Tree Hill High. He was already 10 minutes late for his orientation on his first day, but it wasn't as if he cared. He tightened his grip on the old beat up backpack, staring at the doors ahead. "At least it's only temporary," he whispered to himself as he walked towards his new school.
Chapter 1
"Give me the song and I'll sing it like I mean it."
"So this freshman started talking shit, so..." Haley wasn't paying attention at all. She was tired of hearing of her boyfriend's bullying conquests, she had her mind on other things as she gazed out the window of senior homeroom. The morning sky was darker, and the bite of early winter was in the air. Haley pulled her Canon from her side and began snapping pictures of the morning. Just as she was beginning to get lost in her photography, she felt her camera strap being tugged relentlessly.
"Haley, why don't you ever take pictures of me? You know, I could be a model. Or maybe... you could model for me..." Haley's boyfriend, Lucas winked as he spoke. He's so damn cocky, how do I put up with his shit? "Luke, that isn't the kind of thing I want to use my film for, you know that." Lucas' face tensed, and immediately, Haley knew that she had made a mistake. "Yeah, Haley, I know. I know that my girlfriend never wants to do anything, I know that you're such a prude. And sometimes, I even think you're a waste of my time! Why do I even go out with you, you know I could have any girl I wanted, so why do I always waste my time on you? Huh Haley, can you answer that?"
By now Lucas was practically yelling, and Haley was thankful that most of the class hadnt arrived yet. Haley had been through a million of his outburst, yet they always got to her. She hadn't realized that she was crying until she felt the dampness fall on her cheeks. "I don't know either. I have to go." Haley slung her camera over her shoulder, along with her backpack and walked towards the office. She was supposed to give a new student a tour today.
