Enjoy The Silence
The dainty pink blossoms of the cherry trees had fallen and degenerated, leaving only the resilient, twisted trunks of their gnarled and aged mothers behind. With their sweet perfume gone, the air was crisp with the wet scent of earth that signified the advent of Autumn. A lone girl stood inside the enormous atrium of a once-grand building. This ruin was a monument of her past, the marred Sanctuary serving as both the aggressor of her hellish inner torment and its remedy. Simultaneously a disease and a cure, this place that intertwined so completely with herself. It was here that she was born, here that she lived and loved. It was here, in this place of religious awakening and rehabilitation of the soul that she sacrificed her own.
The ambient light of the silvery moon filtered through what remained of the cracked and shattered Venetian stained-glass, creating spectrum ghosts upon the dark walls and littered tiled floors. Kyoko Sakura sat pensively in one of the few remaining pews, surveying the charred and splintered remains of her father's old church. With a sigh, she slumped and kicked a broken piece of refuse, in doing so, sent a blackened and cracking decorative cross skittering across the floor. She pulled a box of Pocky from her jacket pocket and munched on a stick, filling the aching in her heart and appeasing the gnawing in her stomach with the only comfort that she could, believing both to be of the same cause.
All at once, her silent reverie was broken. A valiant feminine figure stood at the entrance of the church, her silhouette illuminated by the soft light of the night rapt outer world. Kyoko stood to silently greet the blue haired Sayaka Miki. In the center of the aisle, the two converged, brilliant scarlet clinging to noble azure and blending to form the sinfully beautiful purple. Kyoko held the princely Sayaka close as she placed gentle kisses upon her smooth neck.
Two broken girls met in this sanctuary of ruin, both seeking reparation, love, salvation, or any mixture of the three that presented itself as tangible. No words need be uttered as the two became heatedly entangled in the shadows, blending within one another so perfectly as to render one indistinguishable from the other. To say anything would shatter the beautiful illusion of perfection that both had created within one another. Aside from gentle gasps and sweet moaning sighs borne from passionate caresses, not a sound was made. As both girls filled the other with their remnants of love, incomplete shards alone, the pieces meshed and became whole. Though imperfect, the unspoken vow between the two was a healing, understanding one.
The sweet taste of chocolate on her tongue and the fiery touches of Kyoko upon her blushing skin, Sayaka imagined that the girl who was loving her so fiercely was Kyosuke, if only for a moment. She closed her eyes and smiled, relishing the fantasy while it lasted, but soon giving way to the spine-tingling motions of her partner that pushed her over the precipice of sweet physical oblivion.
Shafts of pale light filtered through he crumbling rafters. Two quivering forms were locked in a warm embrace. Blue within red and red within blue, cherishing their hushed secret. As Sayaka's lips moved to form a phrase, Kyoko sealed the words with a kiss. The two girls gazed into one another's eyes, mutually understanding the nature of their bond and it's frailty. With tender smiles, they simply lay in each other's arms until the stars blinked their last in the dusty Autumn dawn.
