A/N: Wrote this short drabbley fic on my phone at about 2am when I couldn't sleep haha, please enjoy and review :)
She recognizes her instantly; Addison has never been able to forget a face, especially not the face of the woman who gave her a child 5 years ago almost to the day. He's is racing around the park with 7 year old Lucas, almost 8 she adds in her head as the young boy had been saying to them all for months, her heart swells as her eyes meet the young woman just ahead of her and she takes a deep breath before taking slow steps towards her.
"It really is you" Judy says before Addison can speak.
"Judy" Addison says softly "You look well"
"A friend from college, she's getting married tomorrow, that's why I'm, back here, LA, I didn't even think it would be possible to run into you..."
"It's a small world when you least expect it" Addison laughs.
"True" Judy laughs back "How, how is he?"
"He's perfect" Addison smiles "Grows so fast it feels like I'm buying new clothes and shoes every week, he's got a cheeky grin on his face all the time, he's smart, too smart sometimes, does well in kindergarten even if he does talk too much" she laughs "He's very caring, he always knows if I've had a bad day, he'll come and sit with me and stroke my hair because that's what I do with him and he tries to make me laugh, he's, he's a beautiful little boy"
"He sounds great" Judy whispers, a wistful smile on her face "Does he know..."
"He knows he didn't come from me, but that's all he knows, when he asks more I'll answer"
"That's good, that's how it should be" Judy says quietly.
"That's him right there" Addison smiles as she points him out.
"He's amazing" Judy smiles "He looks, amazing"
"You can say hello, if you want"
"No I, this is enough" Judy says quietly "This is enough for right now, knowing he's happy, it's enough"
"Ok" Addison says with a small smile "Thank you, Judy, you have no idea how much I appreciate what you did, it's an honour to raise him"
"It was the best thing for him" Judy takes one last look at the happy young boy before turning to leave, turning back after a few steps "Addison what, what's his name?"
"Henry" Addison smiles "His name is Henry"
"Henry" Judy repeats softly, a smile plays on her lips again before she turns and this time finally leaves, knowing she had made the right decision.
End.
