They'd been drinking the night away; he and Kai, letting themselves drift off to the blissful state where neither quite felt so heavy and suppressed. It'd become a ritual. Each Tuesday they met, got drunk and looked at the stars.
A few months earlier and Bryan would've been there too, with the occasional visit from Spencer, who didn't quite see the point in this useless habit of theirs.
Now it was down to just the two of them, and that night he and Kai had felt restless. Despite the smoke, despite the vodka they'd felt an uneasy tingling. At least he had, but he had looked at Kai once and it looked like he felt the same.
It had started as a dare. If you do it, I'll do it. He hadn't thought much of it then, after all, it wasn't that big a deal, really.
So they'd staggered down the stairs, eventually finding a shop they'd somehow, miraculously managed to talk the owner into doing it, despite being obviously drunk.
It had all gone downhill from there.
He had told the artist what he wanted and plumped down in the chair, closing his eyes he almost fell asleep as the artist drew the figure onto him. A sharp poke from Kai woke him just long enough to glance down at it and confirm that it looked alright.
He'd awoken awhile later after yet another poke, tumbling out of the chair he'd expected Kai to get into it and fulfill his end of the bargain.
He hadn't.
They'd argued and Kai stomped off, in retrospect the argument seemed silly, in fact, everything they'd done that evening seemed silly.
He'd wandered home, somehow making it up the stairs on his own he'd collapsed on the couch.
He'd awakened there the day afterwards, nursing a sore head he'd gotten up to take a shower. That's when he spotted it, right there on his right hip. It wasn't big, but it was there.
A tattoo of a little pink hedgehog sniffing a little flower.
No wonder Kai had actually laughed when he'd requested the tattoo.
Tala would've sworn off drinking all together that night, if it hadn't been for the dim memory of running into a pink haired girl with big eyes and a bright smile and the phone number burning a hole in his back pocket.
It took him awhile, but Tala finally decided to make an appearance. Looking forward to exploring the relationship between him and the other Blitzkrieg Boys (and Kai).
