I am restarting Dusk's Shattered Path with my new inspiration... the main storyline will be the same, but a lot of things will change. I'm trying to make it the best it can be, so please hang in there with me.

A black and brown she-kit looked up at her green-eyed, cream and brown mother. Her sister, a white and black she-kit was sitting beside her, and her father, a black and white tall cat was sitting behind her mother.

The cats were sitting on a haybail, wrapped inside a dark red farm wall. A scent of which the kit didn't know of filled the air. It wasn't entirely bad, and it even smelled slightly appetizing.

Her mother looked at the two kits, her glance unmoving. "...Dusk," she mewed, looking at the black and brown kit, her eyes kind, "You're name shall be Dusk. I have decided... Graphite, you're choosing the other's name like we said, remember?"

Graphite looked at his mate, surprised at first, then glanced at the other kit with soft eyes. "Sunset, after that comes Dusk... and the moon comes out at night. So Luna. Luna is her name."

The two sisters looked at each other and mewed. They were just born, the moon was just coming up, and the sunlight was just now fading into night.

Sunset lay down and let her kits settle themselves near her belly, when Dusk let out her first yawn. Skipping feeding time for now, Dusk stretched and closed her eyes, almost instantly falling asleep. Her first day, though short, was already over.

So yeah, super short prologue and all... But is there really much to be said about some names and two newborn kits?
