I Can See Clearly Now
Hiei is sitting under a tree in the rain, staring out over the hill with blank, unseeing eyes. He's thinking about what he just heard.
Kurama is standing at the gate that surrounds the hill. He leans on it, staring at Hiei. The fox has just confessed his love, and upon hearing about it, Hiei had fled. He had followed his love all the way to this spot. Looking at the fire demon, he makes up his mind.
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone.
The rain is barely touching Hiei through the thick branches. Kurama had just told him that hi loved him, and his own answering emotions were so powerful that he had run in fear.
Kurama straightens, and walks purposely toward Hiei. The fire demon is too lost in his chaotic thoughts to sense the fox's ki.
I can see all the obstacles in my way.
Kurama reaches Hiei, and pulls the compliant demon to his feet. Grasping Hiei's chin, he turns the Koorime's head towards him, and gazes on the beloved face.
Gone are the dark clouds that had me down.
Tenderly, Kurama lowers his face, and gently kissed Hiei's lips. Then he pulls away, and stares down at the Koorime's dreamy face. His heart pounds in excitement as the fire demon's hands twine in his red hair, and tug him down for a much deeper kiss. It feels like heaven.
It's gonna be a bright, bright, bright bright sun shiny day.
The kiss ends, and Kurama hugs Hiei to him, Hiei resting his face on Kurama's chest, arms encircled around the fox's waist. Kurama lays his head on Hiei's soft hair.
"I love you, Hiei." Kurama murmurs. A pause.
"I love you too, fox." Hiei whispers quietly, and a tear of joy runs down Kurama's smooth cheek. As they stand together, the storm ends, clouds part, and a ray of golden light shines down on them, causing the air to warm, and every drop of water to glisten.
It's gonna be a bright, bright, bright bright sun shiny day.
