This was written for a class exercise! We were given a prompt, hence the title. Fortunately I had the common sense to make the Pokemon allusions extremely vague so my teacher wouldn't call me out for writing fanfiction. I was really proud of it though. I read it out to the class.

Arriving back I noticed my house was on fire.

"... OH GOD, MY HOUSE IS ON FIRE," I screamed. "Go, Fluffy! Put out that fire!"

Fluffy came out and used its ultra-superpower to put out the fire.

"Good job, Fluffy," I said. "Now, how did my house get on fire?" I decided to search my house for why it might have been on fire.

Soon, I had searched through my house, and I had not found out why it went on fire. So I went into the garden.

"You!" I said, pointing at a small lizard. "Were you the one who set my house on fire?"

The lizard stuck its tongue out at me.

"That's an insolent reply to my misfortune, precisely timed to rub salt into my proverbial wound! To know when to precisely time that insolent reply means you must've been the one who set my house on fire! Go, Fluffy!"

Fluffy shot water all over the garden and managed to kill everything in it.

"Don't worry Fluffy, I can always plant that garden again. You just killed the lizard that set my house on fire!" And I lived happily ever after.
