A/N: Four drabbles, each girl gets 25 words per drabble. Hope you enjoy. Thank you.
1. Getting Ready.
Emily:
Perfectly curled hair, manicured nails, MAC covered face, dress and mask. Butterflies as well. Sent a text to the girl I love. Again, no response.
Spencer:
Alda pinned up my hair. Melissa bought the dress. Mom bought the necklace. Dad pinned the corsage to my chest. I'm still thinking of him.
Hanna:
I smeared the gloss over my lips and fluffed my hair. Tonight, we catch 'A' and my Jimmy Choo's better not get scuffed. I'll cry.
Aria:
He left this morning and my parents are smiling. I'm miserable as I apply my lipstick. The dress is soft. Loneliness sins into my skin.
2. At The Dance.
Emily:
The setting is beautiful, but if she were here…I berate myself for the delusion of happy endings. Maya is THE definition of flight risk.
Spencer:
Toby escorted Jenna here, to flaunt her in my face. My mind is focused on 'A'. To keep him safe. Well played Toby. Love, Spencer.
Hanna:
Caleb is holding me close, scanning for 'A'. I do the same. Emotions will not ruin this for us. I want my damn life back.
Aria:
I'm standing with Spencer and Emily. Focused on the crown, on the prize. I just want to move on from this. I hear his voice.
3. Unmasking 'A'
Emily:
She's here but not in the way I want her to be. I gasp when I pull her mask off. Maya, tell me you're joking.
Spencer:
It's not Melissa. I sigh in relief. My heart breaks for Emily. Stepping forward I grimace. Maya, when did this happen? Are you really 'A'?
Hanna:
I scream, and then I scream again. He holds me tighter as I try to lunge for her. I have never believed in violence…before.
Aria:
I blink several times, making sure I was not seeing things. I stepped forward and my hand made contact with her face. Hanna calms down.
4. Aftermath
Emily:
I'm certain I have no tears left to cry, but they keep coming. Betrayal crawls over my skin, exactly where her hands used to roam.
Spencer:
We stay up all night in the cab of his truck: kissing, smiling, laughing. Honesty truly is the best policy. I will marry this man.
Hanna:
Emily is still crying as I crawl into bed with her. She latches onto me and sobs. I tell her she will be fine. Promise.
Aria:
I sit on the corner of Hanna's bed. Sometimes goodbye is the hardest lesson to learn. Emily needs us now. I will find him someday.
