Saving Grace
He was nothing without his bending. It was his life. Everyday his father and him practiced his waterbending. His father wanted him to be great. And he was. But now he is nothing.
He used to have girls and boys on his arms. Everyone adored him. Well, except Korra. But now they're all gone. They scoff at the once great Tahno. Surprisingly, the only one who is there for him now, is the one who hated him before. Korra.
After she saw him sitting hopelessly on the bench at the police headquarters they had started to spend more time together. She was there waiting for him after he gave the police his statement and she took him out for lunch. He protested at first. He didn't want to be seen in public looking like a disgusting vagabond. Actually, he didn't want to be seen in public without his bending. But she convinced him.
After that, they had gone out for lunch nearly every day. And dinner. They were spending most of their time together much to the chagrin of the Fire Ferrets. Especially Mako. Tahno knew the pathetic excuse for a firebender liked the avatar and he was jealous of the two of them. Which served him right. He was an idiot if he couldn't see how superior Korra was to that rich Sato brat.
Her smile, her laugh, the way her eyes sparkled when she was excited. Everything about her was amazing. And Tahno was starting to fall for her. Once he lost his bending, everyone pushed him away. Even his own parents. She was the only one who was still there. She was his saving grace and he loved her for that.
