Demon.
Monster.
Morgenstern.
Son.
Brother.
Murderer.
So many names, titles he held. Each of them marked him, branded his reputation for, in his opinion, the good.
He knew all about Jace, the Angel boy, the Perfect boy.
His father never shut up about him; Always comparing the two of them, taunting him how weak he was, compared to Jace.
He knew how much the sight of him repulsed Father.
He knew that his mother hated the sight of him, even as a baby.
His own sister didn't know who he was.
Sometimes, he'd like to think about how things would've been different if his father hadn't been a Shadowhunter. Maybe he'd be in a mundane school, flirting with girls his age, instead of killing demons.
Maybe the worst thing he'd be worrying about, would be a testhe didn't study for, instead of worrying about being discovered by the Clave.
He was bitter, angry, and full of hate.
Bitter at his mother, who never loved him, never faught to protect him against his own father.
Angry at his father, to him he was just a weapon, a pawn. Angry at him for making him what he was, never giving him a choice.
He was full of hate for himself, for embracing his nature, and loving the fact that he enjoyed every kill, every drop of blood in him that wasn't human, he cherished.
And one day, he'd prove to his distant father, his uncaring mother, what a monster really was.
