Echoe Shayne

I don't own Naruto

Sakura Hurano wasn't exactly what he would call conventionally beautiful. Her hair always fell around her face in an untamed disarray, and though he would never admit it to her, her forehead was a little wide which meant that her eyes were far set for her face. It could be said that she didn't dress to impress as even to his eye, her outfit was horribly mismatched. He didn't know exactly what it was that drew him to her. Maybe it was her smile. The way that her lips would pull up at the corners, as her head tilted ever so slightly to the side. Her green eyes would sparkle with sincerity before they slid shut. Eyes that were never trained on him. What was it that he lacked? Or more importantly what was it that she saw in 'him', he was nothing special. Yet it was always him, he captured her attention and the fool wasn't even aware of it, he was too busy doing his own thing.

Sometimes he thought that maybe if he just explained how he felt, but then he had never really been good with words. Pair his inability to express himself with her temper and he was asking for trouble. Her temper was hot and fierce and soon spiraled out of control, he had been on the receiving end of it more than once. She was stronger then she looked to say the least. Sakura was strong maybe that was what he liked about her. She never backed down she never gave in. She was stubborn sometimes almost to the point of stupidity. Still other times she knew when to step back, even that in it's self was strength. To him she was everything brave. He had to admit he admired her because she had a lot of things that he lacked.

They were alike in some ways of course after all she was watching 'him' and he was watching her.

Shifting his attention beyond her he focused on the object that had so captured her attention. The young blond man was going through a series of complex movements completely unaware of anything but his training. Turning his attention back to the woman beside him he took in her expression, it was soft and gentle with a touch of sadness. It was an expression that only the blond haired man could invoke. What he wouldn't give to have her look at him like that. All she had to do was turn around. If she would just turn she would see him.

In case you couldn't figure the guy doing the watching is sai
