Bolt-hole

The only thing Molly Hooper wanted to do after a long day at work was to came home, take a hot bath and sleep all night. So when she reached home, she hung her coat and scarf and went straight to her bedroom to take the bubble bath she longed for.

She immediately began undressing, without paying much attention to her surroundings, a decision she would regret pretty soon. The jersey fell to the ground and she was pulling her shirt up revealing her bra, when it finally hit her.

She wasn't alone.

Sherlock froze, the biscuit he was eating halfway to this mouth.

Silence. None of them utter a word.

Then, as if she woke up from a spell, she finally reacted, using the shirt to cover her chest. Sherlock reacted too, looking into another direction.

Molly fought back a blush and tried to hide her embarrassment, but failed miserably.

"I- I thought you were leaving today", was all she could manage.

"Something occurred and we had to delay my departure", he answered, avoiding her gaze. "Do you want me to take the spare room?"

"No, it's ok", she assured him. "You need the space more than me"

The embarrassing memory assaulted her in the exact moment she say the phrase "my room". Lestrade looked at her quizzically, and Molly realized she was giving away more than she wanted. She took a sip of her coffee trying to look casual and added "we decided he needed the space"

The short meeting ended, but Lestrade couldn't get rid of the feeling something was off. "She's hiding something", he thought, but immediately he realized he was starting to act just like Anderson. He shuddered at the thought and demanded himself to be rational and forget the idea…

A little piece of fan fiction I had written months ago but I just typed into the computer.

As always, sorry for any mistakes, English is not my mother tongue and blah, blah, blah.

Thank you for reading.
