A/N: another NCIS fic from moi! You guys really seemed to like the last one I put up so I thought another one would be good.

Disclaimer: I do not own NCIS

Ziva was already standing above the crime scene. Her dark eyes scanned the body and surrounding blood spatter to look for any signs of clues. So far, she had found none.

And where was her partner? Tony was supposed to meet her almost an hour ago with the camera and the supply cases that were in the back of his SUV. Of course, he hadn't shown on time and was now late. Again.

For some reason, it didn't surprise Ziva. She always knew Tony was unreliable.

There was a slight commotion from over on the other side of the crime scene tape. A few cops were raising their voices over someone trying to get in without a badge or identification.

She had a feeling that she knew exactly who it-

"Ziva!" came his call. "Ziva, tell them I can come through!" Tony was looking at her desperately as she checked over her shoulder to confirm the lurking suspicion that her partner was causing chaos for the random cops that had been nice enough to guard the tape for her instead of calling in more NCIS agents. That would always take too long, especially on a busy day.

Her dark eyes scanned him over. Ruffled hair. Unshaven face, five o' clock shadow clearly visible even from a distance. Dark shadows under his deeply set, chocolately brown eyes. Yes, he was a mess to say the least.

And she could only find the heart to smile at him before getting back to her work and ignoring him altogether.

"Ziva!" Tony's cry came once again. He sounded like he was getting desperate. "Ziva David, tell them to let me in right this very instant!" He sounded like he was about ready to curse at her, definitely impatient by now.

She kept her oblivion running a bit longer, knowing that her partner deserved a bit of punishment before she went over to let him within the boundaries of the murder scene of a petty officer.

"You know what, screw this," she heard Tony begin with and the rustling of yellow crime scene tape followed shortly after as he tried to push past the cops.

Her dark eyes cast over to him as she watched the officers give him only a slight bit of roughhousing before pushing him back outside the tape.

"Show us some ID or a badge," one of the men guarding Ziva's space instructed clearly and firmly.

Tony's voice took on a slightly Latino or Mexican tone. "Badges?! We don't need no stinking badges!" By the way he said it, Ziva knew he had just quoted a line from some movie.

The cops began to push him around again because he had tried to get through once again.

She gave a short laugh as they escorted him back to his car. Ziva would have to remember to find him later and chew him out for getting in too late.

A/N: that quote is actually commonly used. I first saw it on 'Ben 10: Alien Force' and then found out later that it was actually from a movie that was made a few years ago or something. Leave a review!
