I don't own anything you recognize.

Note: I really like writing stories like this. Would you guys be interested in a short series of these one shots? Let me know!

Raina jumped when she heard a noise from outside her office door.

She opened it, revealing a large black dog. Raina motioned for it to go in before casting a silencing spell on her classroom door and locking the office door behind her.

Sirius Black stood in place of the dog. Raina grabbed the nearest thing she could see (the Marauder's Map) and started hitting him with it.

"Bloody mad, are you?", she snapped. Sirius held his hands up in surrender.

"You've only said it about a thousand times since I've met you", he answered, taking the Map from her and admiring it.

"What are you doing here? I thought you left last night!"

Sirius nodded. "I flew around on Hagrid's hippogriff for a bit before I found a place to hide. I had him stay there and transformed. Got here a couple hours ago."

Raina shook her head as she continued to pack her things.

"Isn't it a bit early to be packing up?", Sirius asked, confused, "Don't you have until tomorrow?"

"I would", Raina sighed, "if I was staying."

"Don't tell me you quit."

"I had to, Sirius", she responded tiredly. She continued before he could argue.

"Everyone knows about me."

"How?", the Animagus asked. "Did that - what's her name? - Hermione tell someone else?"

Raina shook her head. "She's known for months now; if she was going to tell anyone she would've done it by now. No, it was Snape. He told the Slytherins and it snowballed from there."

Sirius was angry now. "That - that evil git! Doesn't he know that you can't get very many good jobs? And you love teaching!"

Raina gave him a sideways look at she continued packing. "How would you know?"

"Because it's who you are, Raina", he answered, as if it was obvious. "You love school. And you were always willing to help people with homework."

Sirius took a step towards her and put his hands on her shoulders. He kissed her.

"Sirius, we can't."

Sirius pulled away slowly.

"Why not?", he asked in a low voice, grabbing her hands. Then he noticed something.

"What are you wearing?"

Raina had on a black, much-too-big zip up sweatshirt on. It was old and very wrinkly.

It was Sirius'.

"Just a sweatshirt", she answered sheepishly, starting to pack again.

"Raina, I left this at your parents' house during sixth year. You still had it…"

"Well, you never took it back", she shrugged, absently playing with a loose thread.

Sirius chuckled quietly.

They were silent as he moved to help her with packing. Once they were done, he asked her,

"Would you want to come stay with me?"

"Wha-? Sirius you don't have somewhere to stay."

"I have my parents' house", he told her. "We'll have to clean it out, though. It's fully protected - and no one will ever suspect that either of us are there. Not many even know where it is."

None of Sirius' friends ever visited Grimmauld Place. With good reason.

They all doubted that his parents would appreciate a blood-traitor, a werewolf, and a muggleborn in their house. They didn't even appreciate having Sirius there.

"And don't tell me that you'd rather be in that tiny cottage in the middle of nowhere. We both know that's not true."

Raina sighed.

"Alright, fine. Tell me where it is and I'll be there tonight."

Sirius smiled and hugged her.

Even though he hated Number 12, being with Raina would make it better, if only a little bit.
