Hello! I got a few reviews on my other Alex Rider story, and for some reasonn, I read a bunch of Alex Rider character death stories. I just wanted to try my own. ONE-SHOT.

K-unit

Everybody sat in the cell, nursing their wounds and pondering escape. This dilemna was solved for them when there was a loud bang and a young man, maybe 18 or 19, stood in the doorway. The man wore the traditional Sharp uniform, a white kimono over black pants and a black top. Something was off about the uniform though. Instead of the sword supposed to be there, in its place was a gun. His head was covered, leaving only deep brown eyes showing, which were glinting angrily.

"Well? You coming or not? This place is going to blow in," He glanced at his watch,"3 minutes and 2 seconds."

Fox was the first to find his voice.

"Who are you?"

"Act first, question later. Now move!" He used the authoritative voice that everyone was used to, so they snapped to and followed the mysterious man.

They followed him as he manuevered down the halls, picking up a gun from a fallen man, and shooting it at another. The soldiers came to a halt as the black-clad man stopped.

"Ben, take the others and get out. I'll meet you guys out front. I have to get something." With that, he ducked into the room that was on their right.

Fox obeyed and it wasn't until they were out of the building did he notice that the man had used his name.

The two untis stood, waiting for the man who had saved their lives. They watched sadly as the building errupted in flames with still no sign of the man.

"Over there!" Quite suddenly, Jackalcied out. Everybody's attention was turned to the direction the man was ointing in. Out of the burning building, a disproportioned figure approached. As it drew nearer, they realised that it was the young man from earlier, carrying a larger, almost overweight man across his shoulders, piggy-back style.

He as coughing as he came up to them, and he had pressed a clth over the other man's nose and mouth. Coming out of their stupor, they raced over to help get the other man off of him.

"Thanks-" The rest of his words were cut off by a coughing fit. As he straightened up, they caught their first real veiw of the man, illuminated by firelight.

He was around 6 feet, with a lithe, lean body. His withe kimono was charred almost all of the way off, leaving the black clothing uncovered. Teh top of his mask was gone, leaving a mop of sandy hair, the tops of high cheekbones, and brown eyes revealed.

"Who are you?" It was Snake who asked, curiousity filling his voice. The man pulled off the rest of his mask, unveiling his grin.

"Alex. I'm an MI6 opperative. We've met before."

"Alex! Is it really you? I thought you were dead!" Ben immeadiately glomp-hugged Alex, watched by the other units, who felt their puzzlement rising by the second.

The man Alex had been carrying groaned and rolled over. Alex instantly freed himself from Ben, and went to him. The men were surprised to hear a malicious, threatening tone from Alex. Alex knelt down.

"Hand them over."

The man reached into the folds of his coat, apparently searching for something. In a sudden movement, he drew a knife and lunged forward, piercing through Alex's gave a gasp and swore, falling but catching himself on one arm. Snake rushed over, seeing Alex fall.

"What's wro-" Snake cut himself off as he saw a ruby encrusted knife protruding out of Alex's chest.

Everybody watched,as Ben walked over and choked back sobs as Ben let out a cry and wrapped his arms around Alex.

"Get...flashdrive...from...Nathaniel." Ben gestured for Wasp to do so.

ALex took a strangled gasping breath.

"Good-bye, Fox." Everybody gasped when Alex said that. They were shocked and sobbing when they heard Ben's reply of, "Good-bye, Cub."

And so Alex Rider died, in Ben's arms.
