My Dearest Harry,
My Dearest Harry,
You cannot know
What you mean to me,
To watch you laugh and grow,
So happily.
We sit and wonder
As the days fly by,
What lucky stars we're born under
To see love within your eyes.
If your tears should fall like rain,
Know we will be there,
To take away whatever pain
With every kiss and care.
You will want for nothing,
Not food nor drink nor love,
You shall have everything
That you could ever dream of.
Do not cry.
My words are truth.
I cannot lie,
Most of all to you.
I guess that's all I had to say;
Sleep well my baby boy.
You are safe as you lay,
My dreams, my joy.
Your loving father, James
