Science homework
Annabeth's POV
"Hey, Annabeth! I'm coming up the elevator!" Ah, typical Percy. Not that I'm excited that he's coming over so I can tutor him on his science homework… Okay fine, I am. I might have never mentioned this, but I've developed a strong liking to him. In other words, I really like him. He might be a Seaweed brain, but he's my seaweed brain.
"Annabeth!" he greeted me. "What's up, Seaweed brain!" He raised his hand up for a high-five, I went for it, but then for the first time in my life, I wasn't thinking. Once our hands touched, I entwined my fingers with his, he was holding my hand too, and he didn't pull away. I pulled away, and blushed. "Ummm…. Okay, let's look at your science homework." I said, quickly changing the subject. "Uh, it's about the periodic table thingy, some stuff about atoms and chemistry.
Percy's POV
Oh my gods, what the Hades was that? She held my hand... Am I dreaming? I thought she'd never do that. Does she like me? Probably not. She probably saw Luke's head on my body… Which would be awkward.
Annabeth's POV
Okay, we've been studying for thirty minutes now, he probably forgot about the hand thing by now.
"So Percy tell me what the periodic table is." I asked him. "It's a table of chemical elements." Wow, he paid attention. "And what is chemistry?" I asked him. He thought for a while. I mean, it wasn't that hard of a question. "Something we have?" he answered. He pulled his dumb-but-in-a-cute-way look. "Correct!" I leaned in and kissed him. I thought he would pull away, but then again, for the second time now, I was wrong.
