AN Sorry for my bad english and for the shortness of this story.
Cynthia scratched bored onto an empty piece of paper while she was listening to the brought up voice on the phone.
"No, director Shepard is out of reach.. Yes, I can deliver a message. ...Yes, I'm sure she'll call back... Good bye." She hung up enervated. That the director wasn't really busy and she just didn't want to have a phonecall was just her affair.
Cynthias excited mind had just began to calm down when a grinning special agent entered the room.
"What do you want, Agent DiNozzo?", she asked, rolling her eyes. Tony took his time to give an answer and sit on the couch.
"The director is busy?" Acting in defiance of orders, Cynthia shook her head. Tony nodded absently.
"Should I tell her that you're here?" Cynthia already reached for the telephone but Anthony had made a bounce and grabbed her hand.
"Did I say that I want to talk to her?"
Cynthia shook her head again, this time a little bit overawed. Tony grinned pleased while he took a seat on the couch again and looked at her with a steady gaze.
"Can I help you, Agent DiNozzo?"
"Maybe." The young woman frowned. DiNozzo wasn't eerie to her. She knew that he was hatching a plot again.
"You want to tell me how I can help you?"
"You could go out with me." That amazed her. That was the last she'd expected.
"I'd like to get to know you better." Tony arised from the couch and placed both palms firmly against the desk and leant over it.
"I...umm...I don't know.", she stuttered. The closeness to an agent, or to this special agent, unsettled her. She couldn't tell exactly why.
"Nice, I'll pick you up at 8 tonight." He turned around and was about to leave the room.
"But you don't know where I live!"
Tony turned over again in the doorframe.
"Let me surprise you." He winked and closed the door. Cynthia looked at the door disbelievingly and went to work again. She looked forward to the appointment with DiNozzo, in an odly manner.
At this time, Tony stood outside the directos office, leaning against the wall. That had demanded a lot from him. He'd never had problems at making an appointment but Cynthia was a exception. She was more than just the directors assistent and he looked forward to his appointment with her.
