I know everyone does this, but I couldn't resist.
A long time ago, I made an OC. She was a daughter of Poseidon, and while she's changed now, I still everyone once and then imagine if it was her in Percy's prophecy.
This is the beginning of The Mark of Athena, the reunion part, I guess.
Disclaimer: I'm Rick Riordan? Weird. I thought I was a thirteen year old girl sitting in an old green rocking chair, currently listening to Kayla Hawkins.
Nope. Not Rick.
Alright, Annabeth understands that the Romans would be worried-But seriously? Sending an exploding statue after them was a little much.
Annabeth had convinced him to let them land, though in trade the four had to leave their weapons on board.
But, the day was sunny, no ones died yet, and Annabeth was about to see her best friend for the first time in eight months.
Marina Esperanza and Annabeth have known each other for almost six years, now.
Annabeth first met Marina when she was twelve. Marina was ten, though.
At first, they didn't like each other. And that just got worse once Marina was claimed by Poseidon. Annabeth's mother's enemy.
But through the years, they too got closer than sisters.
Then, she disappeared.
Months have gone by, and they finally got her location locked. The warship Leo drew when he was a kid was a reality, and they were at the Roman camp.
Jason and Annabeth walked together up front, towards two people in purple-bed sheets?-togas.
One of them was a tall young women, about Annabeth's age. She looked Puerto Rican and had a confident brave face on. Her hair was pulled back and she showed no emotion.
The other was by far shorter. The Latino fourteen year old was just about the opposite of the girl next to her. She was giving Annabeth a smug smile, keeping herself from grinning-barely. Her long black hair was in a braid and her sea green eyes were twinkling.
The Roman praetor, Reyna, greeted the Greeks. Jason did most of the talking, and after introductions, they decided to have a feast.
The Romans-still sending glares and obviously not trusting anyone-Reyna nodded and Marina, then turned to follow them.
The second Reyna began to walk away, Marina launched herself at Annabeth, squishing her in a hug.
Annabeth laughed at the girl still having her childish behavior.
When they pulled away, Annabeth patted her head.
"Hey, 'lil fish. You've grown." Marina just grinned and laughed.
"Wait," That girl that had come to stand next to Marina spoke up. "She use to be shorter?" Annabeth nodded. Marina shook her head and laughed.
"You're gonna love it here, trust me." Then Marina introduced her friends.
Annabeth then did the same for hers, and they went on ahead to follow the rest to the feast.
Annabeth continued to smile. She ignored the fact that Hazel and Frank seemed to be so close to Marina, or at least tried not to feel jealous that Annabeth's friend has made new ones, without Annabeth. She didn't pay attention to the tattoo or how many inches she's grown, because at the moment it didn't matter.
Annabeth's best friend was okay.
I'll probaley continue this, or do some for the other books. I dunno. It's a lot of fun :D
