"Planet Molthiala!" The Doctor announced, putting his arm through the brown coat that she was used to seeing him wearing now. Rose took in his beaming face and couldn't help but smile herself.
"Year?" she asked, taking her eyes off The Doctor and looking at her surroundings.
"4 billion and three."
He looked at her, excitement in his eyes. Rose felt her heart skip a beat because of this beautiful man beside her. She smiled back at him and looped her arm through his, allowing herself to be lead forward.
"Great planet, this is! Very very friendly people. Fantastic food."
The Doctor went on and on, listing facts about this new planet that they've just landed on with Rose who was barely keeping up with him. Nothing ever fazed The Doctor really. Coming to new planets always put him in a chipper mood. He was the one to love adventure.
He made a full stop stop in the middle of, what would be considered a sidewalk, and ran a hand through his already messed up hair. Unlooping his arm from Rose's he slowly spun around, looking for something specific, his smile never dying.
That smile. Oh how Rose loved his smile. When that smile was plastered on his face, her world felt brighter. Yes, she kind of missed when he had big ears and a rather large nose but she wasn't complaining.
"Do you see that, Rose?" The Doctor said.
He pointed in a direction and Rose looked towards it. A sun. A red sun was slowly making it's way towards the middle of the sky. The Doctor then spun the opposite direction and, almost jumping up and down, told her to look there now.
The two suns were slowly coming together, meeting in the middle. Some people passed by The Doctor and Rose while others stopped, their eyes looking in the same direction as the two.
As the two suns met, there was a brilliant flash of light and a red outline lined the city, making the whole city look like it was glowing. The Doctor took back her hand and squeezed it, sharing the moment with his companion. He would forever remember the look of awe on her face.
