Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald and her best friend Whitney Russell sat side by side in the downtown club, Blue Note partly owned by Whitney's aunt Liz and Theresa's boyfriend Fox. Their night out was inspired by the latest events in Theresa's life. Ethan, her one true love, had left his wife of two years when he discovered she was pregnant with another man's child. The divorce was final and Ethan was on the prowl. Feeling safe inside the Blue Note, where her friend was known to sing occasionally, Theresa ordered a martini and relaxed a bit. Ethan wouldn't dare show his face in the Blue Note, Fox would kill him if he did. No way, she was completely safe from Ethan and his hypnotizing words.

"Theresa, let's go. I got to get home." Whitney said pulling on Theresa's arm, for right behind Theresa was someone who could ruin the whole night.

"Whit, we just go here. What's going on?" Theresa asked turning around to follow her friends gaze.

Speaking of the devil
Look who just walked in
He knows just where to find me
Here we go again
I can tell he's gonna ask me to dance
But that's not as far as he wants to go
I need ten thousand angels to help me tell him no

'Oh God, help me!' Theresa thought as Ethan made his way over to Theresa.

Lead me not into temptation
Heaven help me to be strong
I can fight all that I'm feeling
But I can't do it alone
Help me break this spell that I'm under
Guide my feet and hold me tight
I need ten thousand angels watching over me tonight

"Whitney, Theresa. How are you ladies doing tonight?" Ethan asked as he practically drooled over Theresa.

"Good, until you came along." Whitney mumbled.

"Whit!" Theresa said admonishing her friend.

"Can we talk Theresa?" Ethan asked.

It's time to face my weakness
Look him in the eye
Lord knows it won't be easy
But I've just gotta try
I can't let myself get lost in his arms
That's how I got my heart broke before
I need ten thousand angels to walk me out the door

Lead me not into temptation
Heaven help me to be strong
I can fight all that I'm feeling
But I can't do it alone
Help me break this spell that I'm under
Guide my feet and hold me tight
I need ten thousand angels watching over me tonight

As Theresa was lead to a secluded table, Fox stood on the catwalk above the main floor watching. 'If he so much as touches her…' he warned.

Ethan and Theresa were talking until Ethan decided to get a little more physical. He slid his hand up her legs as she pushed them back down.

"Theresa, you know you want me. You've been telling me since you were sixteen. Don't fight it." Ethan murmured as he tried to kiss her. Theresa fought him as much as she could until he pinned her to the bench they were sitting on.

I need ten thousand angels watching over me tonight

'Someone help me!' she thought.

Ethan had his hand over her mouth keeping her from screaming. Out of nowhere Ethan was pulled off of Theresa and thrown across the club. As she sat up she saw Fox limping back towards her.

"Are you okay?" Theresa asked taking him into her arms.

"I could ask you the same thing. Did he hurt you?" Fox answered holding her tightly.

"I'm okay, but your limping." Theresa said taking his affected leg on her lap.

"I jumped." Fox said gritting his teeth.

"Jumped?" Theresa asked looking up.

He pointed to his former vantage point high above them.

"You jumped from up there?" Theresa asked.

"He was hurting you. I wanted to protect you." Fox said holding her in his arms.

Ten thousand angels, watching over me tonight
Ten thousand angels, watching over me tonight
Watching over me tonight...
