Jade and Beck had been text-fighting for days, and Beck had been miserable. He was worried, they had never fought this long. But the thing that scared him was that they were fighting over something so little - Scissors.
"Jade, they're just scissors. Its no big deal. I'll get you a new pair, and everytthing will be just fine."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, THEY'RE JUST SCISSORS? YOU'VE NEVER USED THEM BEFORE, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! THERE IS NO OTHER PAIR OF SCISSORS LIKE THEM!"
Beck shook his head. It was ridiculous. He never thought someone could get so upset over a stupid pair of scissors.
"Why so glum, chum?"
He looked up. Tori and Andre were standing in front of him.
Beck sighed. "Me and Jade are fighting."
Andre chuckled. "Still? What did you do, ask her to make you a sandwich?"
"No. I told her that it was no big deal that her scissors were gone, that i would buy her a new pair. Ridiculous, right?"
Tori and Andre looked at eachother.
"You know, to you that might not be a problem, but those scissors must have meant a lot to her. There might be a story behind them that you don't know. Tell her you are sorry for undermining the situation, and get her a new pair."
Beck looked sheepish. "Well, obviously i was planning on doing that..."
Tori put a hand on his shoulder."Here comes Jade right now. Go work it out."
Beck nodded and made his way over to her. He was nervous, it showed. She noticed him walking towards her and stared at him. When he reached her, she looked away.
"You know, theres an engraving place downtown. We could go to the store, pick out some new scissors, and put your name on it. I know they might not be as special as your other pair, but at least you'll have scissors, right?", Beck said hopefully. He glanced up at her, and she was smiling her beautiful Jade smile. She hugged him. "That would be great."
