A Life Of A Blind
Prologue
"Are you Ready Mr. Jason?" Hudson felt his heart racing, beating like a drum, his tongue ran dry, his voice faded in his throat, and somehow he managed a weak "Yes" with difficulty as he watched the doctor Walk to the figure on the bed. "Now were going to remove the eye fold tell me if you can see anything okay?"
"Okay" The young Russian replied. Time seemed to pass slowly as the doctor removed the eye fold; everyone breathing quickened as Weaver slowly opened his eye.
"Well?" The doctor looked down at Weaver.
Weaver blinked. "Did you remove it?" He said as the whole room went in desperate shock. "Is the blind fold off?" Mason chewed on his thumb and fought back tears. "Why aren't you guys answering me?"
The young American walked to Weaver and hugged him. "I…It's off Weaver were sorry"
"Oh…" was all Weaver could say.
"E…Excuse me" Hudson left the room, he couldn't see Weaver like this, didn't want to believe that the young Russian was now blind.
"Hudson?" Weaver blinked in hope of getting his eye sight back but nothing changed. "Hudson?" he called again. In his mind he could still picture the American, still remembered how he looked like, how he sounded like.
A friend theirs from the CIA followed Hudson out and found him in the bathroom washing his face. "You alright soldier?"
Hudson didn't reply, he feared that his voice would fail him and he would break and cry again. The CIA agent sighed. "Listen here Hudson, your team mate is calling for you, he needs you by his side, don't leave him hanging alone in the battle field." Hudson nodded and walked back to the room.
"Hudson?" Weaver called his hopes high that it was the blue eyed American. Hudson sat next to Weaver and the Russian's hands moved to his face, he smiled as his fingers traced Hudson's scares. "It is you, Where did you go?" his smile turned into a grin.
"I won't be going anywhere anymore" Hudson hugged Weaver.
"Am I… Am I going to stay blind forever?" Weaver asked.
Hudson nodded. "I'm Sorry" the words came out as nothing but a gentle whisper. "I'm so so sorry" Hudson tried to hold his tears back, he needed to stay strong for Weaver.
Weaver feared the blackness he saw but he knew he had to live with it now. Once Weaver had started crying the whole room broke down and went into tears.
