Zexion

The night sky was dark and endless, a sprinkling of stars and a hidden half-moon the only light. Zexion stood leaning heavily on the rail of the highest balcony in Castle Oblivion. His chest was tight and heavy where his heart should've been, and his eyes stung with unshed tears. Still he gazed out at the world above him, trying desperately to understand his 'feelings'. He wasn't supposed to have feelings, he knew.

But wasn't it anger he felt at the way the others blew him off, that they assumed that because he was quiet he wasn't smart enough or didn't have any thoughts worth voicing? Didn't he feel alone when they all went off in their groups, leaving him on his own with no other option but to sit in his room alone? What about now? He was feeling confused now...but also sad...and worthless.
Heavy, silent sobs racked his body as he stared down at his gloved hands, his lilac hair sheilding him from the world around. Tears born of frustration and despair slid down his face.

He wasn't even supposed to be able to have emotions, and now he had them, these things that everyone in the Organization wished for, they made him feel nothing but sadness.
It would be so much easier not to feel anything...to be as a Nobody should be. There was no cure for it though, as it shouldn't even exist in the beginning.
Although...there is one thing that may...

Zexion looked down the side of the building, judging the height. He would surely be broken if he fell, although whether a Nobody could 'die' from such injuries, he didn't know.
Still, he was as abnormal as a Nobody could get, and there was ony one way to find out.
He climbed up onto the wide railing, and stared up at the stars, his gaze becoming lost in the deep, glittering blackness.

His cloak whipping around him, the cold realization of what he was about to do chilling him to the bones.
This is the way.
Zexion took a breath, and threw himself into the night.
