"Button Mash! Get down here right now, young colt!"
Today was a special day. A series of adventures began on this day, when a new mare came into town. That's not the only reason the day was special, though; it was my baby cousin's birthday!
"I was framed!" Button galloped down the stairs, only to stop in his tracks. His eyes grew to the size of grape fruits as he gazed around the kitchen. There were steamers and balloons everywhere. I levitated a party hat onto his head, but he didn't seem to notice. I wore my own hat over my horn as a joke.
I am Viddy Game. I am a young unicorn mare that owns a video game shop about a block away from Sugarcube Corner. I live right next to my aunt and cousins, Love Tap and Button Mash. Button is like a little brother to me, and Aunt Tap is like a second mother. We don't talk about the father and Button's older brother tends to stay in his room.
"WOWOWOWOWOWOW! This is SOOOOOOO awesome!" Button Mash jumped and pranced around the room, but gasped when he saw the cake Aunt Tap was putting the last candle into. "WOW! A Ponymon cake with a ponyta on it!" He hugged his mother first, then me. "You guys are the best!"
"Only the best for my favorite cousin!" I levitated my little cousin into the air and flew him around the kitchen. He loved when I did that.
The door burst open, spilling a pink blur. "Guesswhatguesswhatguesswhat?! Oh, and happy birthday, Button Mash." My cousin grinned as I tried to calm my friend down. "Pinkie, what is it? Did something go wrong with the preparations? Do you need my help?" I asked. "No, this is fantastariffic! There is a new mare in town with a little baby dragon. She came out of a golden carriage from the sky and I want to throw a welcome party for her!" I took a second to take this in, then said, "Shouldn't you be working on the Summer Sun Celebration?" Pinkie Pie gave one of her gasps." PLEASE help me! I have so much work to do to start the party preparations!"
I turned to Button Mash and asked, "Are you okay with this, Button? It's your birthday, after all…" Button shook his head and said," No, go ahead. I'll be fine." I gave my cousin a peck on the cheek. "Thanks. I'll pick you up for the party. I will make this up to you, I promise!" And with that, I set out.
