Nothing, Ben Wyatt had decided, was better than making out with Leslie Knope. Don't be misled: sex with Leslie Knope was mind-blowingly amazingly awesome, but Ben liked making out just a little bit more. He decided this when Leslie perched herself in his lap in her own office, upon the discovery that he had made a Mac and Cheese pizza. Before he could even tell her that he had also made fried pickles, she was in his lap, her hands, and more importantly her mouth, on his face.
He placed his hands on her waist to support her awkward but completely sexy position in the chair, feeling the silky material of her dress pants against his jeans. He loved making out with Leslie Knope. Mainly because they both knew that a lot of the time, it wouldn't lead to sex. No, he loved making out with Leslie Knope because it was so intimate, because they both knew that this moment wasn't leading to anything else, but they still couldn't get enough of each other.
And he loved making out with Leslie Knope, the mechanics of it all. She always ended up in his lap, because there are very few things that Leslie Knope can't deal with, but not being in control of a situation was one of them. She would rest her calves on either side of him, and he would run his hands over the backs of her thighs, and right about then was when his brain always screamed "I am so lucky to be married to this bombshell of a woman, steamroller as she may be."
"I love you," he whispers in her ear, and though Leslie has grown to expect it, she still shivers, because his love is so true, it is so much. Leslie once told Ben that the only disadvantage to making out in his lap was that she couldn't get to his butt, which she was so enamored with. Ben, however, had access to her rear, and took full advantage of it. Leslie moaned into his mouth, and Ben's mind was made up. Nothing was better than this. Even when Ron rapped his knuckles on the glass to break them apart, nothing was better than this moment (or any moment) with Leslie Knope.
