I wrote this to help releave some stress that I have. My teachers have this annoying habit of making everything due on the same day. I decided to have Merlin go through the same thing.

Disclaimer: I don't own Merlin, just the homework load.

Merlin banged his head down on the table right as Gaius walked into the kitchen. "My dear boy, what's wrong?" asked Gaius.

Bringing his head up slowly, Merlin replied, "All of my teachers are conspiring against me. You should see the amount of homework they gave us today, and it's all due tomorrow!" As he said the words, he gestured to the table. It was covered in various textbooks, notebooks, folders, pens, and pencils.

Gaius raised his eyebrow. "Well, homework is a part of school."

Merlin rolled his eyes. "I know that, Gaius, but listen to how much I have to get done. I have thirty pages to read for my advanced science class, plus a reading guide that goes with it. My precalculus teacher assigned seventy-five math problems. I have to do just as many for my trig class. My English teacher assigned two papers today. She wants both drafts by tomorrow. In advanced government, the chapter we were given to read is forty pages long, not to mention the reading guide. There are two readings to go with it and I have to fill out this chart about the powers of Congress. Oh! I forgot about the flashcards that the teacher wants done. There are ten of those. Today was "homework Monday" in Spanish, so I have the worksheet to do. We have a vocabulary test tomorrow, so I need to find time to study for that. In German, Frau decided to give us a test tomorrow over past participles, which means I have to review for that. It's just too much!"

With his rant out of the way, Merlin slammed his head down on the table again. He kept it there as Gaius began to talk. "I don't know what to tell you, Merlin. You're going to have days like this. It's best to get what you can complete." Sighing, Merlin brought his head up and nodded to Gaius.

Merlin picked up his pencil and began his homework once again. If he tried really hard, he would be able to get all of his homework done. He just had to focus.

I feel much better after writing this.
