A/N: I wrote this a while ago, but never quite got around to actually posting it. But I like it. Hopefully so will you~

Warnings: Spoilers for the ending.

Disclaimer: Code Geass isn't mine. It will never be mine either unless you can buy it using a stick of gum and an empty can of Dr. Pepper. (Do any of you like Dr. Pepper? I like Dr. Pepper. I like it a lot.)

...No, I don't own Dr. Pepper either. Damn.

The riots and celebrations— she can't stand them. Kallen closes her eyes and her blinds as the people rejoice, as his memory burns.

She inhales through her mouth and exhales through her nose. Her own picture of him is face-down on her desk. It seems to mock her in its innocent wooden frame, its faded colors, its lack of—

While the rest of the world is happy, she's sad. It's almost funny in the grand scheme of things.

One day, she'll pick herself up again. She'll smile, laugh, hope and believe, hurt and heal, but not that day and night, or the ones after it. Maybe not for a long time, and in the meanwhile, she'll sit in her room, muffle her screams, and cry until she sleeps.

One day, she'll be strong enough to do more than just keep breathing.

A/N: I think that most people that frequent this section will recognize my name. 8D (I like to believe I'm noteworthy, obv.) I write a good variety of pairings, and have a lot more of cracktastic drabbles and one-shots I've never posted, so I was thinking that I might start a drabble collection. Yes? No? Maybe so? Of course, it would be just like any drabble collection. You'd request a pairing or a character and give me a prompt, and I'd write it. I've seen a few things like this hanging around, but before I did it I wanted to see if anyone would actually, y'know, read it. Please leave me a review saying what you think! I mean, I'll probably end up doing it anyway. That's just how I roll, with rims and— ahem. But I just thought I'd get a general consensus, and since most of my audience is comprised of LelouchKallen fans, I thought I'd present it with a LelouchKallen drabble first.

...Ah, dang. This is longer than the actual drabble.

Feedback appreciated!
