A woman with curly jet-black hair to her chest, tan skin, and hazel blue eyes stood 5"6. She carried a basket full of goods, as she walked down the street. She wore a light green sundress, bare footed. As she walked, she noticed a crowd surrounding a car. Many females actually.

All of a sudden, someone clung to her arm.

"Aurelia!" the little girl smiled.

Aurelia looked down at her. The little girl had honey blonde hair in a braided ponytail, pale skin, and hazel blue eyes.

"KaCii, what are you doing here?"Aurelia glared at her.

"Mother told me to find you. She told me that a knight you've read about is coming to town. On a mission, actually, to protect Princess Kikyo." KaCii let go of Aurelia. KaCii spun in circles before stopping and pointing towards the crowd.

"Mama has a mission for you, herself." She smiled at Aurelia.

"What?" Aurelia pulled KaCii in the alley.

"Mama wants you to attend the masquerade ball tonight. Dress in all black. She wants you to retrieve the jewel of four souls. And bring it back to her." KaCii whispered.

"The Shikon No Tama? Do she know how much trouble I'll be in if I get caught! They'd hang me!" Aurelia glared at KaCii.

"She said she would let you free if you do so. And give you 650,000 yen." KaCii said.

"Well I'll be. Tell her she has a deal." Aurelia smirked, happily.

"Sir Bankotsu, I don't believe you have met my daughter Kikyo yet have you." The king walks beside Bankotsu.

Bankotsu was being showed around the enormous castle. Before he could reject the offer someone interrupted them.

"Father?" a young woman walk up to them. Kikyo.

"Well. Kikyo this is your guardian, Bankotsu. Bankotsu, this is my lovely daughter Kikyo." The King introduced them.

"How do you do, Sir Bankotsu." Kikyo offered her white gloved hand, her eyes never leaving his.

"Very well, Princess." Bankotsu placed a kiss on her hand.

Kikyo smiled in satisfaction. "I always get what I want."
