Pain, so much pain. The kit rolled around the nursery squealing. She could make out the outlines of cats in the darkness and she smelled a rich awful scent. Something told her- blood.
Suddenly, a dim glow lit the den, it grew lighter and lighter until it almost blinded the young kit. In the midst of the light a starry outline of a cat emerged.
"Hush now kit." The she cat softly meowed, "Come with me." The starry cat touched her nose to hers. The pain subsided.
She heard a cat mew, "I'm sorry Mistsong, she's gone."
A dreadful yowl reached the kits ears before she faded into darkness.
The kit lifted her head and blinked. She was in a bright clearing. The moon shone above and light the ground beneath her paws. Prey twitched in every corner of the grass. The young kit stood up, she realized with a soft surprised meow, that her fur was lined with stardust. A silver cat walked in to the clearing, it was the same cat from the nursery.
The she cat looked at the young kit with soft, sad eyes. "Welcome to StarClan, little one."
The kit followed the she cat through a light starry forest. Then they came to a gorse tunnel, the she cat immediately plunged into the tunnel. The kit was a little wary of this strange tunnel, but the she cat seemed okay and the kit trusted her, so she took a breath and went into the tunnel.
What the small kit saw amazed her. The gorse tunnel led to a large clearing. It was full of cats with the same starlight bright fur as the she cat and me. The kit remembered with a jolt.
A tom with ginger starry fur walked up to her, "Welcome to you your new home young kit."
"Cats of StarClan!" the ginger tom yowled. "A young cat has joined our ranks. The rest of the world will never know her by a name, but she will be remembered. However, StarClan will know her as Bravekit! May she walk down the warrior path here that has been snatched from her, before she could even set upon it.
The cats of StarClan took upon the call "Bravekti, Bravekit, Bravekit!"
Bravekit felt her heart swell. She had been in StarClan for two moonrises, she had learned so much in those two days and she had been filled with excitement and sorrow. Ill be a warrior yet, just you wait.
I hoped you liked it. Review for more.
