It was 10:00 PM and Francis X. Clampazzo was simply trying to get to sleep. Unfortunately that's a bit difficult when you have paranoid personality disorder. Every sound made him jump, he was very worried about something hiding in his room, and silence and darkness made him very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, his parents said he had to learn to sleep in complete silence and darkness because that was "normal". "Normal my ass" he mumbled. He thought maybe he would feel better if he turned on a light. He didn't.

The silence began to get too uncomfortable for Clamps and he began to have a mini panic attack. He got very sweaty, began breathing heavily, and screamed internally. But suddenly, he got an idea. He picked up his phone and called Joey Mousepad.

"Hello?" Joey said, picking up the phone.

"Hi, it's Clamps…"

"Oh hey Clamps, what's up?"

"Not much...hey can you come over?"

"Why?"

"Well...I'm having trouble sleeping and I thought maybe you could come over and...help?"

"Sure thing! I'll be right over!" And with that, Joey hung up.

It was about 20 minutes later that Joey climbed in through the window. "So, you said you're having trouble sleeping?" He asked. "I think you heard me before!" Clamps said. He then climbed back into bed, and Joey sat on his bed next to him.

There was about five minutes of silence before a small tapping noise was heard and Clamps shot up and asked "What was that?" "Probably the wind Clamps." Joey replied "Yeah probably." Clamps sarcastically mumbled to himself. A few minutes later, another strange sound. "What was that?" Clamps asked. Joey answered him with, "The wind or maybe one of the trees." The next hour was filled with small sounds as well as a few voices Clamps thought he might've heard. Everytime he heard a sound, Clamps scooted closer and closer to Joey for comfort.

Suddenly Clamps thought he heard a noise

from his closet. "Hey Joey, I think I just heard something from my closet. Can you check to make sure nothing's in there?" Joey simply said "sure" and walked over to the closet, opening it up. Nothing. Joey walked back over to Clamps and told him nothing was in there. Clamps sighed in relief but then thought about something, "Joey what if it was hiding from you?" Joey simply told him "because it was probably scared I was going to hurt them. Not every creature that sneaks into people's houses are necessarily bad. They could just be homeless people needing a place to stay or innocent creatures just wanting a place to stay. You never know."

Clamps thought about that, but then asked "And what if they're not? What if they want to hurt me?" Joey then pulled out a handheld laser cannon from his chest compartment and replied with "Clamps you see this weapon? It's a handheld laser cannon that can turn anything I shoot with it into ash. If anything even tried to hurt you all I would have to do is shoot it and it would turn into ash. You see?" Clamps said "Yeah I can see that." Joey got under the covers and Clamps moved closer. Joey held him in sort of a protective way and said "I got you now. Nothing can hurt you." In a reassuring tone.

They then fell asleep together and woke up the next morning unharmed. Joey woke up earlier than Clamps did so he left before he woke up. When Clamps did wake up he didn't really care that Joey left. He was just glad that he finally got a decent amount of sleep that night.
