I've seen so many of these out there, I just figured that as a fan of FFVII, I had to try my hand at it. This is a poem about the death of Aeris from Cloud's perspective. I even played this part of the game a couple of times to get the general feeling. By the way…I don't own Final Fantasy VII. Just so you know. ^_^
You rocked my world and touched my heart
Then it suddenly just fell apart
When that monster slayed you without a care
Yes, a beautiful maiden, so young and fair
It filled my heart with sorrow and grief
When I saw your lifeless form cease to breathe
Rage swept over me and possessed my soul
I wanted Sephiroth in his six-foot hole
He sent forth a monster called Jenova-Life
Like the Grim Reaper holding a scythe
I fought gallantly and let my anger subside
Only sorrow followed in its tide
After that, I cast you into your watery grave
So that you would no longer be the planet's fair slave
I vowed vengeance on your demise
And parted with tears in mine eyes
I promised to kill Sephiroth, so that his terror would cease
And so after his death, you would rest in peace.
