A Mask
The childhood stories of one greater than I
The constantly being told of my destiny
The cries of a woman in pain
The laughter of a man long since gone insane
The hopes of a future at Hogwarts
The hope for friends
The hope to be made free of my dark loneliness
A hand outstretched in hope
A boy who lived denying
A pale hand of perfect skin left untouched by the hand of the boy I so longed to be
A scoff
A scowl
A smirk
A mask
Seeing her beauty
Longing to be hers
Longing for her touch
Longing for her love
Her friends
Shared words of shared hate
An insult
A punch
A fire in her eyes
A scoff
A scowl
A smirk
A mask
Yet another Christmas alone
A manor filled with red ribbons and fresh garland
A fire warming the cold walls
The cold rooms
The cold emptiness of my life
My heart
My home
Returning to Hogwarts
Returning to Sytherin
Returning to Quittage
Returning to Mafloy
A lost Quittage game
A disappointed look
Etched upon my father's face
A heavy hand on my robes pulling me
A heavy hand on my cheek
A heavy hand
A heavy hand against a heavy heart
A cane
A black cane
A silver and black can descending against my back
My arms
My face
My legs
Tears
Tears stinging at my eyes
Longing to fall
Longing to sob
Longing to be set free
A cry of pain
Another "You weak piece of shit!"
Another "You will never be a Malfoy!"
Another "You disappoint me, you disappoint the Dark Lord."
Another "You are not my son!"
A scoff
A scowl
A smirk
A mask
Ice on bruises
Ice on cuts
Ice on a heart
That was once filled with love
Being called into an office
Adorned in Silver and Green
Being told of a future
A dream
Being shown a mark
A dark mark
On a left arm
On perfectly pale
Flawless
Skin
Hearing tales of the pain
The suffering
The burning
The fire
The razor pain
Of the mark
A scoff
A scowl
A smirk
A mask
Distracted in class as Snape discusses the lessons
Mind elsewhere
On the mark
The dark mark
On the pain
On the fiery pain
Would I cry?
Would I take it?
Take it like a Malfoy?
A scoff
A scowl
A smirk
A mask
A heavy hand rests on my shoulder
The weight unbearable
"It is time."
Walking into a room of darkness
Hissing
Secrets
Darkness
Death
An arm
A perfectly pale arm outstretched
A wand descends
Pain
Fire
Cutting
Razor
Blood
Knives
Pain
Pain of a mark
A dark mark embedded in the flesh
The perfectly pale
Perfectly Malfoy
Flesh
A scoff
A scowl
A smirk
A mask
Teardrops on a pillow
Falling out of Malfoy eyes
A sigh
A gasp
A cry
"What have I done?"
"What have I done?"
"What have I done?"
A scoff
A scowl
A smirk
A mask
Returning to school
Returning to Hogwarts
Returning to home
Pride
Pride wells in a blackened heart as a sleeve is rolled up
And a mark
A dark mark
Is shown
An angel
A muggle
A mudblood
An angel
Tears in her eyes
She sees me
She comes over to me when I am alone
I am always alone
A scoff
A scowl
A smirk
A mask
A mask that she lifts
"What have you done?"
"What have you done?"
"What have you done?"
A shake of a head
She leaves
A scoff
A scowl
A smirk
A mask
A mask that can never truly be removed
A mask that is a part of me now
A part of me like the mark
The dark mark
Etched into the perfectly pale
Perfectly Malfoy
Flesh
A part of me
A scoff
A scowl
A smirk
A mask
A Malfoy
Note from the Author: I am sure you know by now that I do not own Harry Potter or any of the characters. Please leave a review and tell me what you thought. This was, keep in mind, my first Draco poem. Please be kind.
