BeBe: I don't own Ouran High School Host Club, sadly

It was a normal day in the third music room. The boys-and Haruhi-were hosting, Honey eating his cake, Kyouya typing who knows what and the twins playing the "which one is Hikaru" game, and so on and so forth.

Kaoru had gotten up, and was helping Ria move a huge cake over to the small third year. No one noticed, since it was hardly out of the ordinary for one of the twins to help her. However, everyone's attention was shifted to the child hood friends, when a loud crash was heard from their side of the room.

The cake had crashed to the floor, and they were glaring at each other. No one was sure which to be more shocked at. The fact that the two were mad at each other, or the fact that they'd let such a huge cake ruin their costumes.

"How dare you say that!" Ria hissed, balling her fists at her sides. Her ankle length dress was plastered to her legs to due to the fact that the rather runny frosting had soaked into the fabric.

They were all dressed as if they were from the late 1800's-much to Ria's insistence. She'd always loved finding excuses to dress like they did back in the olden days.

"It's very easy!" Kaoru cried, crossing his arms. "It's crap!"

Everyone turned to Hikaru, who shrugged. Even though it was him and Ria who were going out, her and Kaoru were still closer than normal as well. So, if they were fighting, it must've been something dreadfully important. Though, he could hardly think of anything that didn't include one of their well beings.

A low growl erupted from Ria's throat, as she raised her fists as if to fight the younger twin off. "You wanna go?" she asked, "You think you can take me?"

Kaoru let out a growl, quite a bit lower than Ria's as he stepped around the cake. "I think it should be me who should be asking that!"

"Before you start a pointless fight," Kyouya sighed, pushing up his glasses, "mind telling me what this argument is about?"

Ria turned to glare at the shadow king, "Kaoru said the most dreadful thing he could ever say to me!"

All of a sudden, Tamaki appeared behind Ria, a glare glinting in his eyes. "What did you say to my dear daughter?" he growled. It was a good thing it wasn't Haruhi in the argument, Kaoru would be dead if it were.

"He said that Pride and Prejudice was crap!" Ria yelled.

Everyone grew silent at that-each one surprised that they would get so mad at each other over a book.

"Well, it is!" Kaoru yelled, before anyone could say anything else.

"It is not!" Ria exclaimed, waving her hands around in a comical manner. "It's a classic!"

"As far as I'm concerned, they're the same thing!" Kaoru cried.

"The only thing the same about them is that they both start with 'C'!"

"No! The other similarity is that they're both boring, and make me want to hurl!"

"Pride and Prejudice is hardly boring!"

"Says you!"

"And about five billion other people! Have you ever even seen the movie?"

"I don't need to!"

"So that's a no?"

"Yes!"

"Yes?"

"No!"

"No?"

"Yes!"

"Wait, wait. Did you see it, or not?"

"No!"

"Then you can hardly say it's boring! You've never even seen it!"

"I told you, I don't need to see it!"

"I refuse to let you call it boring, until you've seen it!"

"Fine! You want me to watch it?"

"Yes!"

"Okay, then! We'll watch it, tonight!"

"Great!" Ria then turned, and walked away, triumphant, leaving Kaoru standing dumbfounded, wondering how he'd been put in such a situation. Unfortunately, though, the scene was ruined, since the girl had forgotten to hold her overly long skirt, and ended up tripping and landing on her face halfway to the door.

"Well," Ria smirked that night at the six boys-and Haruhi. The other members of the host club had come to see what Kaoru's reaction would be. "How'd you like it?"

Kaoru grumbled and looked away. "It was good."

"Ha!"
