Timmy seemed to be a normal boy, until he turned 13 years old. His life had
been different than other people's lives because he was different. He
always felt like he was in charge, and that's the same way that he would
feel in Kindergarten. While reading some mail, he comes across a letter
from the School. He opens it up and it is from His Parent Pupil Teacher
meeting, which his parents had recently attended. He looked under the
column of syndromes and saw the word Aspergers. As soon as he saw that
word, his eyes were full of tears.
"This isn't me," he said. "I'm a different person.... But something is wrong with my brain. I think different, I see different. I guess now that I've seen all of this, I won't be successful anymore in my life."
Timmy was wrong. Even though he was born with Aspergers, he didn't know that his future would actually be showing great things. Timmy did Community Service every single day by working at a little market downtown. He always felt that this was the most important, until he figured out his syndrome. He stopped doing things that he loved to do, and spent most of his time after school crying. He kept asking himself "Why does it have to be me!"
