Sooooo! I have recently finished a run through of the show again and I felt like I had to do something like this. A story of Stevie and Alex. A story, like it should have been. You know, without that death-drama and stuff. And this is what came of it. It is the first chapter of an hopefully ongoing FanFiction. It is by far not finished yet, so bear with me, please 3

Again, English is not my first language, but I do would like to read your comments on the story and what I could do better and so on :) As long as its useful and respectful, I am very glad to hear from you! :)

Away from everything – the party, the people – Stevie stopped before she opened up the door to her room. It suddenly hit her that, once they'd come back from Argentina, this wouldn't be her room anymore. She'd move to Killarney and leave Drovers. Not for good, of course. This would always somehow be her home, she'd still run the farm and work around here, but she wouldn't actually live here anymore.

"You know, we could still spend a night or two here if you miss it too much." Alex whispered in her ear, gently stroking up and down her arms. "What?", she said confused, turning around and looking up at him. She had been so lost in her own thoughts and him talking to her had suddenly pulled her out of it. As he lifted his eyebrows, smiling, she slowly shook her head. "Nah, don't be silly.", she brushed it off and openend the door to the room that would soon be someone elses.

Entering behind her, always careful not to step on the beatiful white dress, Alex rolled his eyes. He knew exactly what had gone through her mind and it was sometimes frustrating she still thought she could keep secrets from him.

Closing the door behind him, he grabbed her hand and made her turn around. "I know what you were thinking, you know? And…. I have been thinking about it too." He took a short break, taking in all of that beautiful face of hers, slightly pulling on a strand of that firey red hair. "Drovers is your home. It always will be. So if you wanna spend some nights here, away from Killarney and that annoying brother in law of yours… you know, we can do that."

Stevie frowned, then he could see the softness coming back to her face. She lifted up her hand, gently stroking his cheek and slowly shaking her head. Her eyes were locked with his, while she was searching for the right way to put her words. "Do you know… how much I love you?" Stevies voice was not more than a whsiper, but still looking into her eyes he didn't need no words anyway. "Ya better do. Just got married." Alex winked, pulling her in for a close hug.

Her arms wrapped around his waist she closed her eyes for just a moment. Sometimes she didn't think she deserved him. And sometimes, he didn't think he deserved her. It took them both so long to finally realize whats right, there wouldn't be a single moment in their future, where they'd take each other for granted.

Taking a deep breath, she moved her upper body away from him a bit so she was able to look at him. "We should get changed…."
"Nah, they'll wait."
"Yeah they will, but the plane won't Alex.", she answered and wrapped her arms around his neck to pull him down for a kiss. "Yeah… right", he mumbled through longing kisses, not ready to loose touch just yet. "Come on, Cowboy. Bet ya Marcus and Grace are having way too much fun getting your ute ready right now.", Stevie said when they finally managed to unlock their lips.

"Yeah right. Not looking forward to that.", he answered and smiled. He had taken care of this two days ago – he knew his brother. So he had asked Nat to load all of their luggage and take it to their Hotel in Adelaide, where they would stay the night before flying to Buenos Aires first thing tomorrow morning. But there was no need in telling her this now. It'd just be a nice little surprise.
