Hey, can you hear it? This melody…. She could hear it. The melody was distant and soft, but it could be clearly heard from. A song from a music box? She turned around and started to follow the melody. I wonder….

This melody… is so sad. But somehow… A breeze swept up her light hair, and she recoiled from the slight cold. Until then, she opened her eyes.

you can feel a warm light inside…

"Master Glen?!" She thought. Her nose and cheeks were now hinted with roses. There stood a tall figure, Glen Baskerville, standing alone behind a tree. This scene could only be hers to stare and watch, but….

She help up her pocket knife behind her and aimed it at the suspicious cloaked person behind her. "Who?!"

The stranger held up his hands reassuringly. "You're such a feisty lady."

"You are?" She lowered her knife.
"No need to worry," the stranger's voice still calm. "Although I look suspicious, I'm not really anyone interesting."

"A normal person would say," she got distracted with the conversation and lowered her knife even more, "I am no one suspicious."

"But if I said that, wouldn't I be more suspicious?" he laughed.

This was annoying the young lady… But maybe even slightly amused?
"Jack," Glen started to talk, "Stop messing with Charlotte."

The young lady's name is Charlotte.

"Charlotte, that's a beautiful name." Although you can't see his eyes, his smile was really bright, "Then, can I call you Lotti?"

…. No answer.

But the stranger continued. "Well, nice to meet you Miss Lotti." He then took his hood off, finally revealing himself. "I'm Jack Bezarius." His eyes were as bright as his smile.

Lotti?

"Music box maker?" Lotti thought. Is he the source of that melody?

"Hey, did you know?" Lotti gave him a cold look.

"Not everyone could go in and out of the Baskerville's mansion!" Her foot was on Jack's back-letting him stay sprawled out on the floor, while she tugged on Jack's long blonde braid. "But how do you manage to sneak in all the time?!"

Jack was obviously uncomfortable, "Someone told me the secret passageway!"

"Secret passageway?" She was confused.

"Yes, Glen said I can use it to come here," Jack showed his cowardly grin.

"Hey, you and Master Glen… What is your connection with him?"

Jack gave his thoughtful look. "Why don't you ask Glen these things yourself?"

"What?" Lotti blushed, the color of roses again, "He's not a person you can just talk to!"

"Ah, Baskervilles.. Hiding their existence in the dark. Which the heir's duty is to draw the lines with other nobles. And the only master to take care of that is Glen Baskerville."

"He… Master Glen, just how much did he tell you?"

"I don't know, I'm not really interested really." He flashed that smile again. "I don't care about his status. To me, he's a person with an important existence… Someone who embraces the values of others, so what you could say."

She didn't know what was coming.

"He is my best friend."

"M-master Glen… He's not that type of person-"

"And you're my friend too, Miss Lotti."

Lotti lets go of his braid and stared at him. "What?"

"I said-"

Lotti crushed Jack with her foot, hiding her embarrassment. "I heard what you said!"

This is the first time… Someone told me that…

Someone wanted to be my friend, by their own decision.

That's why, even with my black-stained hands.

I want those five letters to be my name.

A name from someone so warming and idiotic.

"My name is Lotti."
