Summary: On one ridiculously hot summer day, Blaine wants to cuddle with Kurt after swimming. Unfortunately, Kurt doesn't want him to come anywhere near his skin.

Prompt: "The sheets felt like sandpaper on his sunburned skin."

Kurt fell onto Blaine's brown and gold comfortable, his body feeling like dead weight after two hours swimming under the sun. It wasn't until his skin made contact with the blanket that he realized something was very wrong.

He gasped and cringed as his skin burned up, the soft blanket feeling more like sandpaper against his skin. He turned his head and cringed again, realizing that the pain was in his neck as well. Out of the light of the sun there was no mistaking the deep, permanent red on his neck, shoulders, and trailing all the way down his back.

He had forgotten sunscreen.

"Kurtie, c'mere!" Blaine looked like a happy puppy as he shook his wet hair out all over the floor and slid on the bed next to Kurt. He twisted his body in his comforter and emitted a giggle that most people never heard- Blaine was a totally different person when he was with Kurt.

While Blaine was becoming acquainted with his bed, Kurt yanked his shirt off the floor and pulled it on quickly. The long sleeves and heavy fabric made his back sear but he didn't want Blaine to know he was in pain. The younger boy looked up just as Kurt settled himself back on the bed.

"Hey, Blainers." Blaine sighed and shifted closer to Kurt. Kurt lay down slowly, working hard to keep his smile in place, and tangled his fingers in Blaine's hair. He stroked the curls back and noted the significantly darker tone his boyfriend's skin had taken since they had started swimming.

Blaine reached out and placed his hand on Kurt's thigh. Fingers splayed, he rubbed up the length of Kurt's thigh and back down. Kurt lay with him, happy to know that this did not elicit any pain; his legs must have been spared by the sun.

All was well until Blaine tried to rub Kurt's upper arm. The lightest touch sent his skin into a frenzy in the worst possible way and Kurt closed his eyes, pushing back the tears.

"Kurt, you okay?" Blaine's puppy eyes were confused and concerned, and his hand had paused.

"Of course!" Kurt gave him his brightest smile and Blaine pulled him close. He lay his head on Kurt's shoulder and the beautiful boy had no control over the scream that ripped through his throat, nor the way his body pulled back and off the bed, putting him across the room in less than three seconds.

"Kurt?" Blaine sounded rightfully alarmed. His boyfriend blushed and came to sit gently on the edge of the bed, staring warily at Blaine.

"I'm sorry, honey, I just can't be cuddly right now." He pulled his shirt off slowly, so slowly, and Blaine gasped.

"Oh my God, why didn't you tell me? Kurt, are you nuts? That needs to be treated immediately! Stay right there, I have aloe-"

Kurt settled himself on the bed and didn't try to hide his cringe as he watched his boyfriend run from the bedroom to the bathroom, coming back with little jars of goop and scolding Kurt for not telling him right away. And, though he was in horrible amounts of pain, he was still happy that it was Blaine who saw him in this terrible state instead of anyone else.

Meh. Not exactly happy with the way this turned out. Oh well! P.S. I am taking requests right now. If I like them, I will write them. Please let me know if you have anything on your mind right now that you'd like to see written.
