A/N: This is my first Glee fanfic so I hope you guys enjoy it. Please don't forget to review! :)
"My water just broke."
Her quiet statement echoed through the whole room as one by one the listening members of McKinley High's glee club stared at each other in shock and denial. Quinn's mother just stood rooted to the ground, her eyes wide and her mouth open. Silence engulfed the room and took control of it until Kurt finally snapped out of it.
"Oh my god!"
The male cheerleader's outburst brought everyone back to reality. Puck started having breathing problems while Artie tried to calm his friend down, and the rest of them just started arguing with each other. They only stopped when a loud whistle rang through the room and as they always did, everyone turned to Mr. Schuester for directions.
"Mrs. Fabray, please bring your daughter to the hospital. Mercedes and Puck will accompany you there. Mercedes, you drive," Mr Schue gave her a stern look and the young girl nodded her head as she started guiding both Quinn and Puck out of the room. "The rest of us will stay here."
"Actually, Mr Schue. I want to be there for my friends."
Finn's sentence couldn't have surprised any of them any further. It was no secret that he was not on good terms with both Puck and Quinn. Seeing the looks he was getting from his friends, Finn shrugged.
"What? We're glee club. We stick together."
His statement brought a smile to all their faces and as everyone got into each other's car except Rachel who Quinn had specifically asked to stay behind to watch the other performances, Finn realized for the first time that he did mean the words he had just said. They were glee club. They stuck together.
"We don't care what the judges say. We won. Because we had you as our teacher."
And as they started singing their rendition of 'To Sir, With Love' to him, Will couldn't help but let the wet moisture in his eyes turn to tears. They were each singing with their hearts and souls and they meant every word they sang. He watched as the tears on each of the teenager's face became clearer and their voices got more choked up as the song progressed.
They'd all hated each other nine months ago. But on that day, as they sang their final farewell as glee club members to their favorite teacher, they loved each other. Because when the world had turned against them, it was their friends in that club that helped them through everything and made each of them realize that nobody was alone.
And a month from now, maybe they'd fall apart, maybe they'd go back to ignoring each other and maybe, the school cliques and labels would once again dominate the school. But they'd all get through the rough times. Because they had nine months worth of memories of happiness, anger and realization. Nine months of having friends who were forced to care about you, but cared nonetheless. Nine months of knowing that they were in something special. Nine months of being in glee club, of sticking together.
"We've got another year."
Silence reigned for three seconds before each of them started exclaiming and celebrating. Mr Schuester stood in front, a wide smile spread across his face as he watched his children hug and kiss each other. All of them were genuinely happy as they talked and buzzed about next year and how they were each going to treasure being together.
And if anyone dared throwing a slushie at any of the glee clubbers ever again, then they were going to have to face the rest of the club.
Because they were glee club. And they stuck together.
