Disclaimer – I own nothing of Phineas and Ferb. It belongs to Disney. I do own my original characters and the plot. 'Nuff said.

A/N: After doing a good deed today, I got inspired to write this story. I went on a five-minute chase after my neighbor's dog – a Basset Hound named Baxter. In this story, it's my dog.

Isabella Garcia-Shapiro was walking home from Phineas and Ferb's house when she saw a tan-colored dog dart into the street. She grabbed its collar just in time – it was in the way of an oncoming car.

"That was close – you were almost road kill." Isabella told the dog, getting down to its level and gave it a pat. It must've spotted something because it took off at a sprint, Isabella close on its heels.

Candace was on her way to Stacey's when she saw Isabella sprint past.

"Hey! What's the big idea?" Candace asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Sorry Candace! Can't chat now – chasing after a dog." Isabella called over her shoulder.

Five minutes later, she grabbed the dog just as it was about to get into someone's car.

"Wait! That's my friend's dog!" Isabella panted, placing her hands on her knees. She wasn't used to running long distances and was being treated for asthma. The guy driving the car smiled and helped Isabella attach a leash to its collar.

"Lucky, huh?" Isabella asked the dog as she called the dog's owner.

"Hello?" a young woman's voice answered on the fourth ring.

"Hi – are you Amy?"

"Yes, I am."

"My name is Isabella and I have your dog. I found him out wandering the street."

"Oh my gosh! You found Lucky! I've been looking for him for three days! I was about ready to call the pound!"

"Where do you live so I can drop him off?"

"Where are you right now?"

Isabella told Amy her exact location.

"I'm four houses down. Thanks again, Isabella."

"You're welcome."

Isabella hung up her phone and led Lucky to the house that Amy described. She went up to the green house with the white shutters and rang the doorbell. She could hear other dogs inside barking and smiled when Amy exited the house.

"You little devil! How did you get out of the yard, huh?" Amy asked Lucky. She then looked at Isabella. "Thank you so much for finding him. Where exactly did you say you found him again?"

"Down the street on the corner of Vine and Ivy." Isabella answered. Amy smiled and handed Isabella a crisp twenty-dollar bill.

"Here, it's for your good deed." Amy said.

"Oh, no – I can't!" Isabella told Amy, shoving the twenty back to her.

"Yes, you can. You did a good deed by returning my dog to me." Amy said, smiling.

Isabella thanked the young woman, gave Lucky one final pat and walked back to her house.

It was that moment that Isabella was happy to be a Fireside Girl.
