Challenge Info: School of prompts: Night, flourish, and tact.

She looked at him as she lay with him under the starry sky. It was a beautiful night. She watched him as he smiled and gave a childish and joyful laughter. He had grown up into a beautiful boy now he was becoming a man. She felt privileged to be a part of it.

He was like a flower under the moon that bloomed only at night. He was unique among the many kinds of flowers that littered the world. They had travelled all around the world in search of knowledge. He took her with him, always, and kept her safe and comfortable.

They shared the same bed and there was always food for her to eat. When she hunted and was unable to move to over-eating as she fell asleep he would track her down and keep her in their hut. He always said that he was never lonely with her.

When he was young he asked so many questions she was tempted to strangle him. He still was that same little boy that she connected with. Only he flourished and instead of becoming a lump of coal became a diamond. She liked the city but he was scared of being caught as he studied the dark rituals.

"What are you thinking of?" Tom asked as he breathed in the crisp, clean air.

"That I'm content because you're happy, Tom." She looked out at the ocean and looked at him.

"I am. We'll need to leave soon, though. I am nearly done with the research." Tom moved closer to her.

"Promise? I am getting bored of the food here." Only a few animals were on this island and they never were enough to make her full.

"Yes. We'll go wherever you want." Tom said as he pet her head.

"When are you going to get a mate so your mate can hatch a nestling?" She pulled away from his hand tactlessly.

"Never. I'll be immortal and you'll live forever too, Nagini. It's what I promised you when you took me in, right?" Tom ended with tact.

Nagini nodded and they watched the waves lap onto the beach in a pleasantly warm summer day.
