AN: I started this a long time ago and now I finished it. I hope you guys enjoy! Tell me if you liked it.
Dave Karofsky never really smiled too much in his life; The only memories he had of the a few time his lips curved were ones from his years of school; And one, in particular, happened in his graduation. It was the end of the school year for some; but for others, it was the beginning of a new life. And Dave was one of them. He was making a step further for his future and there was nothing he was more excited about. He had gotten a football scholarship in one of the best colleges of USA, he was one of the most popular guys in his school and his life seemed to be perfect. But deep inside, things are darker than anyone could imagine. It was frustrating; For 2 entire years he had to hide the fact that he loved Kurt Hummel more than he loved anybody in this fucking world. Then, when he finally took a step and kissed the boy, he ran away and Dave lost him. It was terrible. Not that Kurt's reaction seemed strange. Dave had bullied him a long time before that happened, trying to make himself believe that he didn't really liked Kurt – He actually hated him and he was just confuse with everything – but he couldn't deny his feelings for so long. And unfortunately, he couldn't make feelings disappear, so he was still there, on the same field, trying to forget about everything.
He sat on the bleachers for a few moments, trying to take a deep breathe and to stop thinking about the new happy couple that would get married soon: Kurt, the love of his life, and Blaine Anderson, the guy who was giving Kurt everything Dave couldn't, even if he tried. – Damn. – The young man mumbled, covering his face with his hands. Suddenly, he started crying. It was all that he could do.
- I knew you were here. – A familiar voice popped out from nowhere. Dave looked around and after a few moments he recognized Kurt walking near him and taking a seat beside. Dave just growled and bit his lip. Then, the thin boy put his hand on the jocks shoulder.
- I waited for you. – Kurt said, softly, still gazing Dave's eye. The taller boy just shrugged, and looked down.
- You didn't have too. You have Blaine. Go ahead. He's better than me. He is a proud gay out of the closet. Look at me. It's been two years and the only ones who know about my secret are you, your hobbit, and my dad. And Santana. I'm failed. – The last words came quickly, but heavy. They had a huge impact on Kurt's face that became more and more worried.
- You are worth Dave. You are the only one who doesn't see it. Maybe you think everyone will hate you because you're gay. But if they really like you, they will love you for who you are. You should be an example. Take you time. And whenever you're ready, I'll be there. I'll be by your side. – Kurt now was hugging Karofsky strongly. Dave hugged back with the same intensity. He needed that. When they pulled apart, Kurt stood up and cleaned his tears. He made his way out of the field, but before, he turned around and looked at the young man one more time.
- As a matter of fact, I didn't accept Blaine's marriage proposal. Because I still believe on you. And I've always have. And one day, I know that the one is going to be proposing is you. – He smiled before leaving the place.
Dave watched him go, with a big smile in his face. He knew what to do Later that night, he came back to the auditorium and, in front of everyone, he finally came out. Some people didn't understand. Some were shocked. Others didn't even care. But the only one that matter for Dave was Kurt, who smiled fondly at him and invited him to a dance. And they danced all night long. At the end, a new life was beginning, and now, finally, they could have a happy ending.
The end.
