Falling

Summary: Sometimes, the most stupid things can make him feel like he's falling. RinHaru. One-shot. Drabble.

Haruka Nanase didn't usually show emotion, but Rin knew that every time he said something- something stupid that he shouldn't have, he knew that he could cause a flicker of hurt to cross the black-haired males face.

"Idiot."

"Fucking idiot."

"Don't talk to me."

Why he even said these things to Haruka was a mystery. Haruka didn't even do anything- he just... felt frustration. Frustration that Haruka was better than him. He wanted to beat Haruka, no matter what.

But in his head, he knew the whole 'I have to beat you' thing was really 'Please notice me...', he just wouldn't admit it. So quite often he ended up getting frustrated and angry. Yet Haruka never brought himself to hate him. Why? Why?

Rin would never know. Haruka was just like that. Maybe that was just one of his traits? All Rin knew was... he liked it.

But he also feared that one day Haruka would eventually give up on his frustrated outbursts and cocky attitude towards life. When that happened...

Rin didn't know what to do. He always seemed smug when he managed to get Haruka to show a flicker of hurt on his face, but at the same time he was only hurting himself.

So when he and him were alone, he couldn't help but shove Haruka against a wall hard, giving him a look that could only be described as a glare.

"Idiot. Look at me," and that was what Haruka did. He stared at him with those ocean blue eyes, his gaze questioning, yet not hating like it should be. "When will you ever learn?"

"Learn what exactly-" Haruka was cut off when a pair of lips met his own, tensing up slightly before relaxing. Rin had his eyes closed, heart thumping in his chest as he then pulled away from the kiss and hugged Haruka close, his grip tight.

'It feels as if I'm falling...'

Rin could feel Haruka raise his hand and then resting it on his shoulder, still staying silent.

'But what am I falling from...?'

Haruka's head then rested on his chest before his eyes closed shut, making the black-haired male look at peace.

'I feel like such... such a...'

"You're the idiot Rin."

And at that, Rin didn't care. He deserved it after the amount of times he had called Haru that after coming back from Australia.

"And I'm glad you learned," Haruka spoke quietly. "I just wish you learned sooner."

Rin tightened his grip on Haruka, not too sure as to what he should say now. He felt Haruka shift to get comfortable before he buried his head in the other males shoulder.

'I think... I'm falling for you.'
