10:30 pm, Titans Tower, Jump City
Robin sighed as he sat on the couch, nature documentary. This was not his ideal way of spending a Friday night, but he would do anything to please his teammate, Starfire. She wasn't exactly what he expected to think of as his dream girl, but the first moment they kissed on that evening in Jump City a year ago, he knew he loved her. And he had to win her over.
About two weeks ago, Robin and his team had made a journey to Tokyo, Japan, and he had discovered the alien princess also held feelings for him. They lived out Robbin's new favorite romantic cliché, the kiss in the rain, and held hands at the mayor's medal ceremony. Those moments had been some of Robin's happiest. After all, he had seen his parents plummet to their death when he was 9. His life had been fairly gloomy. Starfire had become the light in his life.
The days after Tokyo were also wonderful. Starfire had been treating Robin as he were her boyfriend. Robin didn't mind, he thought as he stroked Starfire's head, but he was still worried about one thing: Batman and the others.
What would they think if he asked Starfire to be his girlfriend? Would they approve? Would Barbara Gordon, now Oracle, approve of his teammate? After all, he and Barbara used to like each other. Also, would Bruce, aka Batman, approve of him having a romantic relationship with his teammate? Or having a romantic relationship AT ALL? The whole idea overwhelmed Robin. But he knew what he had to do.
"Starfire?" Robin nervously asked his teammate.
"Yes friend Robin?" Starfire replied sleepily, resting her head on his chest. In that instant, all doubt disappeared from Robin's mind. He didn't care what Bruce or any of the others would think of Starfire. Robin loved that girl. He loved her long red hair, her gorgeous green eyes, and her soft, tan skin. Her sweet personality, her adorable curiosity with earth culture, her messed-up English, and her ferocity in battle. Robin's thoughts could go on and on, but he reminded him of the task at hand.
"I was wondering….would you like be my girlfriend?" He questioned her. Starfire looked at him, shocked, but happy. "YES! Yes friend Robin! I accept your offer!" She squealed, flinging herself at his face and kissing him full on the lips. Robin quickly hugged her waist. The kiss went on for about five minutes, but it felt much quicker to the young couple. When Starfire looked up at Robin's face, she seemed quiet confused at his solemn face. "What is wrong fri-I mean, boyfriend Robin?" she said, rather worried. "Well, I would like you to meet my family before we quite become an official couple. It's just a kind of Earth custom." He explained to her. "And if they don't like you, it doesn't matter. We can still be together." He added quickly. "Oh boyfriend, this is so exciting! When should I pack?" Starfire exclaimed happily. "Later. I want to cuddle more." Robin said, pulling her close. Starfire nuzzled her head back in his chest.
The next morning, Cyborg, Beastboy, and Raven found their teammates sleeping happily on the couch.
