Patience.
She'd always thought that with just a little patience she could melt his cold heart. She had such clear memories of Suigetsu criticizing her "puppy love," as he called it, his arms crossed across his chest and his mouth cast down in a pout. Even Juugo, who was the most loyal to the Uchiha of all of them, had told her it was a lost cause. She could remember his sad little smile clearly too.
It's amazing how clearly I can remember this. Maybe I'm trying to compensate for when I won't be able to remember anything.
She dimly felt herself fall forward, for as active as her mind was, he body was annoyingly unresponsive. Through dimming eyes and dulling ears she sensed the arrival of the other two members of Team Taka. Juugo was questioning the Uchiha, but Suigetsu knelt down beside her.
"Karin? Karin, can you hear me?" His voice was laced panic.
She managed to take another, rather painful, breath.
"Re…venge me…" Her last wish rode out on her last breath.
As her spirit left the mangled remains of her body, she thought, There's not enough patience in the world to melt his heart."

A/N: I am so unbelievably mad at that stupid Uchiha! I'm sorry, but Sasuke just crossed a line. He can now officially go and die in a hole. Poor Karin!
Anyway, Hop you enjoyed. I just had to write something for the poor girl.
- The not-so-happy Amagake
Note: You have no clue how many times I almost wrote Kagura instead of Karin when I was writing this.
Note (v. 2): I am half tempted to delete all of my stories that portray Sasuke in a good light. (I don't think I will, however.) At any rate, don't except any updates in Sleep Well for a while. A long while.
