This is based off a prompt I found on Tumblr: [Text] Come with me to Taco Bell. No, I don't care that it's three in the morning. I adore Emily and Colton's friendship and desperately need Felicity and Roy to have the same kind of friendship.
Buzz… Buzz… Buzz…
Never ending buzzing. Seriously? With a groan Felicity reached over for the phone that was charging on her bedside table. The glaring light told her it was 3:00am and she had just gotten home less than half an hour ago. Luckily it was a Saturday and she didn't have to go into the office in the morning. Still, a girl needed her sleep, which is exactly what she told Oliver when she left the foundry. They didn't need her any longer that night.
The text that so rudely awoke her was from none other than Roy Harper. "Noooo," she grumbled sleepily, putting the phone back down and rolling back over to go to sleep. She was not going back into the foundry. If the city was falling apart, it would have to do so without her tonight. With that last thought she was back to sleep.
Buzz… Buzz... Buzz...
This time Felicity didn't even bother reaching over to check the text message she just pulled the pillow over her head to block out the noise. Sleep took her again, but once again not for long.
Buzz... Buzz... Buzz...
Irritation was at a new high when she rolled over and yanked her phone off the charger. Three texts from Roy. Clearly it wasn't life or death considering Oliver and Diggle had refrained from calling. The screen was blurry without her glasses but if she squinted just right she could make out what his text message read.
"Are you still awake?"
"Felicity, wake up."
"Damn it Smoak, do not make me come in there."
Curiously she decided to reply. What could he want that was so important it couldn't wait until the sun was up?
"What do you want Harper? Are you oblivious to the fact it is 3 in the morning?"
His reply was almost instantaneous. "Come get Taco Bell with me. And no, I don't care that it's 3 in the morning."
Before she even realized what she was doing she sat up in bed, pulled her glasses on and replied in disbelief.
"Seriously? Taco Bell? This couldn't wait?"
"No. Kicking ass as a vigilante side kick makes you hungry. Come on."
"I am not getting out of my bed for Taco Bell."
He had to be crazy. Despite being a stress eater, Felicity didn't just get out of bed this late (or early depending on how you looked at it) just for food. Sleep was important.
"It's on me."
With three simple words she groaned, pushed the duvet back and climbed out of bed. Her favourite tan uggs sat right beside her bed, making it easy to pull them on. Her fuchsia trench coat was draped over the chair in her room and that was quickly pulled on over her lavender tank top and doll covered pajama pants.
"I'm coming, relax." She texted him while getting ready.
Just as she suspected he was waiting outside of her apartment building. Quickly descending the stairs to reach his red mustangs she climbed in, clicked the seat belt into place before levelling him with a glare. "I'll get you back for this." And just like that they were on their way to Taco Bell at 3:25 am.
