A/n: I just heard this song on the radio, and I was like, "Finally, some inspiration!"

Disclaimer: I don't own the characters or the song…sadly. BTW the song is called Austin by Blake Shelton, for those that want to know…

She left without leavin' a number

Said she needed to clear her mind

He figured she'd gone back to Austin

'Cause she talked about it all the time

She had left, and he was devastated. He loved her so much, he told her so whenever possible, but, she never seemed to listen. Or, if she did, she didn't pay attention. She had left him, and decided to go back to Austin, Texas; at least that's what he figured out, because she'd always talk about going back there. He didn't think she was serious.

It was almost a year before she called him up

Three rings and an answering machine is what she got

He was gone when she decided to finally call.

If you're callin' 'bout the car I sold it

If this is Tuesday night I'm bowling

If you've got somethin' to sell, you're wastin' your time, I'm not

buyin'

If it's anybody else, wait for the tone,

You know what to do

And P.S. if this is Austin, I still love you

She couldn't believe her ears; he still loved her, after so many years. It was like shock had over come her entire body. She just stood there; still unable to actually comprehend what was said on the machine.

The telephone fell to the counter

She heard but she couldn't believe

What kind of man would hang on that long

What kind of love that must be

She decided to wait a few days before she tried to call again. Once again she didn't get him, just his machine.

She waited three days, and then she tried again

She didn't know what she'd say,

But she heard three rings and then

If it's Friday night I'm at the ballgame

And first thing Saturday, if it don't rain

I'm headed out to the lake

And I'll be gone, all weekend long

But I'll call you back when I get home

On Sunday afternoon

And P.S. If this is Austin, I still love you

This time, she wasn't as shocked as the first time by the ending of the message. Though it still surprised her. Feeling courageous, she decided she'd leave a message, but at the last minute she just decided to leave her number, and wait to see if he calls her on Sunday.

Well, this time she left her number

But not another word

Then she waited by the phone on Sunday evenin'

He got her message, yet he had no clue what so ever on whom it was. Not wanting to be rude, he decided to call and see who the person was. So he called.

And this is what he heard

If you're callin' 'bout my heart

It's still yours

I should've listened to it a little more

Then it wouldn't have taken me so long to know where I belong

And by the way, boy, this is no machine you're talkin' to

Can't you tell, this is Austin, and I still love you

Needless to say he was shocked, well more than shocked. He was happy too.

"Kagome…"

"Sesshoumaru…"

I still love you

A/n: The end! It's kind of crappy… but oh well, as long as the creative gears in my mind are working! Soon I should be updating My Life As Kagome!
