"You're so generous," Azula muttered once they were out of earshot of the crowds. "You let me live in the palace, with all the honors due to a princess, and even threw me a welcome-home party, after all I've done! That could be dangerous. Why, at any time, I might rally people to my cause and try to get my throne back!":
She paused for breath and added, " I can't say I'd do the same for you if our places were switched."
"I know," Zuko ground out between his teeth.
"And yet you do it anyway."
"Yet I do it anyway."
"You're weird," sniffed Azula as she left to check out the dumpling table. Weird or not, she'd gone three and a half years without proper dumplings, and she wasn't going to wait one more minute.
