A/N: I absolutely HATED how this show ended. I've spent the last few days steaming about it. Anyways, the main thing I hated was that Allan (my favorite character) didn't get to say goodbye. This is how I thought this scene should have gone.
Robin stared at the rolled up bundle, dread filling his heart. He ran forward, Much and John coming with him to unroll it. When he saw the body fall out of the bundle, his heart stopped.
"No…" he mummered.
It was Allan.
Tuck ran forward to check. His eyes widened in surprise. "He's still breathing." he said.
Robin knelt down next to him. His eyes looked over Allan's beaten and bruised body. He knew Allan wasn't going to be around for much longer.
"How long?" he asked Tuck.
"Minutes." Tuck said. "Long enough to say goodbye."
"Robin…" A weak and hoarse voice said.
"Allan." Robin said, putting his hand on Allan's chest.
"It hurts…" Allan said, wincing as he tried to move.
"I know." Robin said, putting his other hand on Allan's shoulder to keep him from moving. "It won't hurt for much longer I promise."
Allan's eyes found Robin's. "I didn't betray you." he whispered.
Robin swallowed hard. "I know, I'm sorry we doubted you."
Allan smiled slightly, "I don't blame you."
Robin shook his head, "I should have trusted you."
Allan coughed, rolling to his side and curling into a ball. "It hurts so much…" he moaned.
Robin started stroking his hair gently, trying hard not to cry.
"I'm scared." Allan spoke so quietly that Robin wasn't sure he spoke. But the look in Allan's eyes told him the truth.
Robin felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up to see Kate standing there. He moved slightly so Allan could see her.
"Kate." he whispered.
Kate smiled, tears in her eyes. "Hey Allan." she knelt down next to him and put her hand on his face. She wiped a tear away from her eye and leaned down to kiss Allan on the cheek.
"I'll never forget you." she whispered.
Allan smiled, "Good."
Kate then quickly stood up and walked away, shoulders shaking with sobs.
Both Tuck and John said their goodbyes, even Gisborne gave Allan a respectful nod, and all that was left was Much.
"Much." Allan said.
"Allan." Much said, trying desperately to hid the fact that he was trying not to cry.
"It's okay." Allan looked at the people gathered around him.
"Thank you for giving me the one thing I never thought I would have again."
"What's that?" Robin asked him.
"A family." Allan gave a final smile as his body went limp.
Robin reached up and closed Allan's eyes.
"Goodbye, our most loyal friend."
